The 100 Greatest Songs of 1974 #20. Fire

Two things. First, the Joe Cocker album this song appears on is not "The Kids ‘N’ Me". That is the name of the album from one of the songwriters version of the song. The title of the Joe Cocker album this song appears on is "I Can Stand A Little Rain". Second, my favorite Joe Cocker cover is his...

The 100 Greatest Songs of 1974 #20. Fire

I thought it was "Every Highway" until I read your post. I've heard this song sooo many times as a kid. My parents had control of the car radio and due to the Canadian Content rules, stations played a lot of Gordon Lightfoot and Anne Murray songs. If I ever heard the DJ say the name of this...

I haven't seen the latest episode yet. But, I thought it was an interesting last season when Jeff made the "if X number of players sit out this challenge, you get this bag of rice" offer. The players were taking their time deciding who would sit out. So, Jeff stabbed the bag of rice and the...

    "Difficult" situation?

The guy is 33. Working from home (I assume that is what remote means) 30-40 hours per week. Making 150K per year and earning 2K/month more than he spends. I'd trade places with him. I bet his stress levels are a lot lower than mine. He has another 25-35 of his working years to accumulate wealth.

Not the most astonishing thing, but interesting how we have become obsessed with hydrating. When I was a kid we would go to the water fountain between classes or line up at it for a water break during gym class. Now every child has a refillable water bottle they bring to school with them and a...

Or the evolution of how we consume music. It went from vinyl and 8 tracks to cassettes to cds to digital downloads. Now most people have a library of music on their phones. On a related note, how we can listen to music wherever we are.

The phone has to be the biggest mind blower. You can call someone from almost anywhere, you can take photos or videos, you can find out information with a computer that fits in your pocket.
