Honestly, it sounds like a situation where she shouldn't be picky. If she makes $15/hr at some low level retail job, that's definitely gotta be her focus right now. Being out of the workforce for 15 years has probably been great, but it's time to buckle down.

My first thought was a key job, but the metal under the paint doesn't show any signs of damage. No scratches, etc. And I found a few big chips of paint nearby that seemed to have flaked off without any scratch marks.

It's been super cold but the sun finally peeked out this morning for a few hours. But no giant magnifying glasses nearby... :shrug:
