Welcome to Our Forums. Once you've registered and logged in, you're primed to talk football, among other topics, with the sharpest and most experienced fantasy players on the internet.
If you've played fantasy football long enough, you know three things about championship weekend:
1. If you're lucky enough to make multiple finals, there will be one player who shows up in most if not all of your opponents' lineups
2. That player won't be anyone you'd be concerned about...
I'm in a few leagues where there's been barely any trading the past few years. We get a few deals before keeper day in the offseason, but the season is pretty quiet and even deadline week (this one) sometimes comes and goes with almost nothing. These are competitive (but not hardcore of...
We've hit the point of the season where a few teams in every league are realizing that it's just not their year, which in a keeper format means that we'll start seeing those rebuilding-style "current stud for future assets" trades. Depending on your league rules, that can present a major...
I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting a little tired of never being quite sure which Vikings RB is playing on a given series.
The situation came to head last night when I celebrated a win at a packed bar (that had about twenty flat screens but apparently couldn't afford this new-fangled...
Miller was a trendy sleeper TE heading into the season but has been a bust so far. FBG rankings still have him as a borderline starter in large leagues.
Any Raiders homers have any insight into what's going on with Miller? Is there any reason for optimism or is it time to look elsewhere?
We have a venting thread and a bragging thread. But how about one for those of us who got lucky and know it? Maybe, just maybe, if we offer our thanks to the fantasy gods then we can clear our karma for next week. It's worth a shot.
I'll go first. I managed a narrow win against the best team in...
This isn't actually meant to be a shot at FBGs -- I put a lot of trust in this site for weekly rankings and cheatsheets. But I'm pretty shocked at Gostkowski's current ranking in the Sunday morning cheatsheets given what we know about the weather.
So at the risk of sounding WDIS-ish... has the...
Yes, yes, the top 250 is a guide, do your own research, etc. I find it to be an extremely valuable resource, because sometimes it forces me to really rethink some assumptions. This is one of those time and I think it's worth a discussion.
The current Top 250 still has the Ravens defence rated...
Just for fun, since we all tend to get a little proud of what "sharks" we are from time to time...
There were 351 "players" (including team defenses) available for selection in the Subscriber Contest. Of those, 350 appeared on at least 0.1% of rosters (all totals rounded, presumably). That list...
Decent article:

If you can ignore his (hopefully tongue-in-cheek) claim that an undefeated fantasy season has never happened in history, and get past his ridiculous theory that the Chambers trade happened because the Dolphins want to...
Sorry if this is borderline AC-ish, but I've been holding onto this guy as a late-round sleeper with keeper potential and I'm just not seeing it. Even when Westbrook went down he didn't get many touches, and his goal line value hasn't been anything to get excited about.
Is there still an upside...
For sake of argument, let's assume you have two legitimate studs at RB1 and RB2, either in a keeper league or due to trading your way into two high picks on draft day. Do you still spend an early pick on an RB3, or do you get to a point of diminishing returns?
I've always been a guy who's happy...
(Not sure if this has been discussed already, if so please link me to the thread.)
For those of us who play in keeper leagues where a player's value is based on the round he's selected, late-round picks can be gold. If you get the right guy, you can wind up keeping a stud, or at least a solid...
Look, I like to bash Manning as much as the next guy. But the whole "he can't win the big game" schtick is getting ridiculous. It seems like every time he loses, we all nod and say "yep, another choke in a big game". And when he wins, we say "well, fine, but that wasn't really a big game".
He...
If you're in the finals of a league with a decent prize pool, is it reasonable to strike a deal with the other guy to split up the prize money in advance? For example, agree to split the money 50/50 regardless of results, or to each take 25% and play for the rest?
(For sake of argument, assume...
This is a bit of an odd week for waiver wire defenses since most of the really bad teams are playing teams that wouldn't be available in most leagues (BAL, NE, CHI...)
The Packers are probably available in most leagues and they get the struggling Lions. But... they're the Packers. I'm trying to...
Looking for a list of which teams give up the most fantasy points to team defences. Someone posted a list in one of the defence waiver wire threads a few weeks ago (Oakland was on top by a good margin). I'm wondering if anyone has seen updated numbers?
Sorry if this has already been discussed, I searched and didn't see anything...This is from Yahoo's rules page:
Now I could have sworn that in past years, the first tie-breaker was head-to-head. It came into play if and only if there were two teams tied -- a three-way tie or more went straight...
Does this sound like you?
- You drafted Vick as a "value" QB1 with big upside in the mid- to late-rounds
- You picked up a solid QB2/3 because Vick scares you.
- You were ready to bench/trade him after his up-and-down start to the season
- You've seen him suddenly become a stud passer(!)...
