I watched that draft call last night. First we had the Cringe brothers do their thing. Then JD. Then Rah-Rah Saleh puts on his show. Then Hackett comes on and I couldn't help but think this simpleton won't even know how to use him.
3 4th round picks. Lots of ways to go. Will they get their...
Aside from insurance this year, we would have been in the same situation the following year looking for starting tackles. This is also a relatively cheap option going forward.
Definitely not the sexy choice, but smart one imo. Now let's get some pass catchers.
Me, too. I wanted Odunze, but Fashanu is a smart pick. Insurance this year and probably a long-term starter next year. We couldn't afford to be derailed again by injuries to the o-line.
I'll give you credit. You called it from the start......but it's a pretty safe bet no matter whomever we draft. We are just terrible at developing QBs. Gotta wonder if Mahomes would have been bad behind this team.
Pretty sure he was at #2 way before the Pro-Day. It only cemented that we were taking him over Fields. I don't think Lance was even in the conversation either.
My friend said that they should build a statue for JD for being able to trade him. I said, great, let's build a statue for the guy that made one of the worst draft picks in Jets history, if not all time.
I'm curious to see if Payton can turn him into a decent QB. God knows that we can't develop...
So where are you guys leaning on that 10th overall pick?
Trade back?
O-line?
WR if any are there
Trade up?
Bowers

If in the unlikely event Alt is there, he would have to be the pick. If one of the top 3 WRs are there, that would be my second option.
Trade back would be my third...
Who knows, but who cares (Reddick is probably a better all around player although Huff might be a better pass rusher given the opportunity). More importantly, we have a pass rusher again and even more importantly, this "should" remove any temptation to go defense with #10.
Colleen Wolfe is reporting that a source told her that Woody and Saleh got into a heated argument at the Owner's Meeting. Apparently it got awkward since it was in front of everyone.
Like 99.99% of us, we were really disappointed during day 2 of FA. I've got to admit, he knocked it out of the park. I didn't think he had it in him. Now it's on Saleh's head to deliver or get sent to the shadow realm.
Tyrod Taylor deal was
Bam. Taylor is getting $6m per year. $8.5 m guaranteed. Some bogus years thrown in. 2024 cap hit of $2.8 m. 2025 cap hit of $6.8m. $2.4m dead cap hit of 2026.
