What's the upside of marriage for men?

I do think the original poster has good points. I have internet known offdee for 20 years- our first draft was way back then. I was single when we were drafting- and my future wife was at my Father’s funeral- which was at that time. I also think that he is right: you should think really hard...

What's the upside of marriage for men?

Unlike most FBG, there are lots of parts of functioning in the world that I am really bad at. As an adult with ADHD, executive function, self care, attention to mundane details, and finances aren’t really my wheelhouse. I am on the other hand pretty smart, patient, generous and great at caring...

I would be up for the challenge of taking over this team. I have been in one dynasty league for 20 years and one for 13 that just folded.

    Nashville/Clarksville FBG- I have a new exhibition

Thanks bb. One of the hard parts of this exhibition for me is not getting to meet folks and share conversations around the work. I think the new work is definitely making some headway. Hope thinks are well with you and the family

    Nashville/Clarksville FBG- I have a new exhibition

Thanks JB! It has been a long path, but things are great now. I am probably more of a grinder than talented- but I appreciate your kind words.

    Nashville/Clarksville FBG- I have a new exhibition

Hey strangers, I hope you are healthy and safe. 15 years ago, post Hurricane Katrina, this amazing board donated money and shared it with Football guys impacted by Katrina. Joe B matched the total. it made a huge difference for me- the amount was 4x what I received from FEMA, the Red Cross and...

    RIP Riley

I am so sorry. Like many of us old times, you have gone from single dude, to married dude, to dad on this board. And now, you are going through the worst of the worst. There are no words I can offer to make sense of the unthinkable- no salve for the uncontrollable pain. i would encourage you to...

    Need Some Fatherly Advice

I am on board with wikkid. so here goes: my kids are 12 and 9. what do they see when they see you? What would you think of you if you were 12? What do you expect of them? Do you exceed those expectations - in terms of your interactions with them and their mom? What is your level of attention...

Products you believe in - Let's hear 'em

Rougher ride on the older forester anyway. Also, with two car seats ( thank goodness those days are over, there was only room for a small teen in the back, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a boring SUV. Subarus are EVERYWHERE in Maine.

    Artist needed

I feel like I might be missing an opportunity to be funny or brilliant- but I actually have strong opinions about turtles. when I was a kid in the seventies and there wasn't much on tv- I loved animal shows: i almost invariably rooted for the carnivores-       cheetah vs. gazelle : let's go...

    Artist needed

If what I make isn't your think- offdee is a pretty strong artist. flysack is more of a writer, but he has some pretty sweet visual chops as well. He was doing some street art for a bit.

    Artist needed

It's strange. I must have some sort of FBG spidery sense because I don't pop in often. One of the last times I was in Otis was posting about sobriety and the time before that biggy was looking for an artist. Now wikkid is looking for a collaborator. Pretty weird.

People with Kids 12 and under: Does your kid have a cell phone?

Kids 12 and almost 9: no and no. i know lots of folks talk about needing the kids to be able to contact them after school, but I don't get it. My kids practices end at a specific time. If the coach/ teacher wants to end it early they can contact me.

How much do you love/hate your life?

This does sound like the "how did I get here" mid life crisis. I would listen to Abe- figure out head on what you want/need. one of the perks of being an artist is that you go through your midlife crisis in the first 3-5 years after you abandon things to follow that rabbit. Very few artists in...
