I logged in here to check on this. I was owed from Aug. Never got a note. Then I reached out. New guy said he forgot, and would send ASAP. Still waiting, and now it’s halfway through Sep. Anybody else?
I figured it was probably a typo. I'm on Tenn+6 and +215. Like them a lot this week. Also like Seattle but waiting for that as Cowboy money is sure to keep coming in.
I think there are a lot of strong cases for retaining the original waiver order. This is one. This went how I expected it to go. Sorry for not making it a bit clearer but it was worked out and most see it the way I expected it to be seen.
Thanks to all for voting. Although I could have worded it a bit clearer, we have a clear winner here. FWIW, I agree with the poll results. Generally speaking, I agree with the simple argument made by solocra above.
Appreciate all the responses.
How can I be more clear than "So, they effectively traded draft spots and the original pick #1 owner got an extra 5th round pick."I think most people are reading this correctly from a comprehension standpoint. They just disagree with your logic.
I figured this would come up. It's a league of friends so we don't have the strictest written bylaws. It's written as "waivers go in reverse of draft order".
Our league does initial waiver order in reverse of draft order. So, the guy who got the 14th/last pick gets #1 waiver spot. The guy who had pick #1 traded with pick #12 in exchange for pick 12's 5th round pick. So, they effectively traded draft spots and the original pick #1 owner got an...
The bolded is exactly why I'll be on Philly, especially if Baltimore looks good. Buy low, sell high. I agree with one thing-Plus 2.5/3 on Baltimore is the best price you're going to find. So, lock that in now and worry about your next bet later.
I'd be wary of this one. Baltimore has NE in week 3; next week is as much of a sandwich game as it gets for Baltimore. That said, you're right to get on them now if you like them. It will only go their way. I'm pulling for Baltimore big tonight and then I'll be hammering Philly next week.
Certainly understand being gun-shy on waiting this year. Kolb, Cassel, Bradford are all guys that were picked late (rd 7 or later last year) who busted. Freeman ended up as the 16th ranked QB and he was drafted 12th. So, certainly didn't live up to expectations but not necessarily a complete...
I think there are 2 ways to go about your QB strategy for those picking after the top 3 Rbs. Either draft one early (first 2 rounds) or take one very late (after round 7 or so). I don't think the group of Ryan, Rivers, Romo, either Manning etc. provides value. I'm in a 14-team league and...
The silliest part of the "defenses didn't have time to prepare argument" is that less time notoriously favors the defense as the offense doesn't have time to put in a gameplan and defense is more reactive. Just looking at last year's scores, the average PPG on a Thursday game was about 40 vs...
