And last thing I will say so we don't take up the topic...if there is any blame to be had it is on the airlines for monetizing the "normal" weight/size checked baggage. There was rarely any problems with space when there wasn't a charge for most checked bags and before all the consolidation...
It is selfish to check a bag and take up less room in the overhead than the person who doesn't check a bag? Cannot disagree more with this. I paid the same (yes, all the prices are probably different) for my ticket and am not willing to inconvenience my self so someone else isn't. I have to...
Nope, I bring gym bag style on the plane and will check a roller bag depending on how long I will be gone. I am 6'4" and don't care if you have to gate check your bag so mine is up top. Of course since I usually choose bulkhead that is my only choice. I shouldn't have to give up legroom for...
Screw the traffic!
I just did my interview on a layover in Houston...this was before Covid so don't know how many of those type of slots are available nowadays.
If you are at all handy around the house, it isn't that big a deal to replace a water heater if you don't have to rerun lines.
ETA: I took the cash option and just did mine myself in the same situation. Wasn't that difficult, but would have paid to have it done if any lines had to be rerun or...
I guess if you just want the checked bags, but it does have a $95 a year charge. Also will pay for your global entry every 4 or 5 years, I can't remember how long it is good for.
The bad news is all of the big 3 US airlines have really devalued their mileage because everyone and their dog get...
Sorry, I don't get on over the weekends normally so just saw this.
Part of it is they pay for the living expenses of the travelers, so not quite as bad as it seems.
But I assume they are doing well, haven't seen any actual income statements or anything like that.
They may only make double, but the companies are paid 3-4 times as much vs base pay, depends on area (ICU, Medsurge, ED, etc).
Travelers also don't pay for their apartments or utilities. There is a reason lots of young, childless RNs travel.
More than likely these are discretionary bonuses correct? So if the bottom line is in the negative or doesn't do as well as expected, they aren't required to pay them out. Salary has to be paid unless you get rid of employees.
I know my hospital changed the beginning of February from everyone in the hospital has to wear one to pre-Covid guidelines for masking (isolation protocols). Still feels weird to get up from the desk to go get water...I still reach for a mask that isn't on my desk anymore.
ETA: Still have to...
Possibly, but the young don't vote at a great rate as a rule so I don't think it will be 1 to 1 and most of them that were going to vote were going to vote Dem anyway. It might not hurt the Dems in the long run, we will find out this fall...but if they really want independent votes then the...
Just catching up so sorry this is a very late answer. It will hurt the Dems with people like me. I voted for Biden (first time for a Dem for President since I first voted for RR) as an anti-Trump/crazy repub vote. I still can't vote for the current Republican party, but what I will do because...
