Yes, everything you state makes sense to me. There is a point for many runners (like most in this thread) where the motivation for running becomes less about health and more about the hobby — achieving goals, competing, etc.

Most (all?) of us get VO2 max estimates on our watches. The accuracy on watches isn’t great. There are often differences when compared to more formal tests.

I agree with this from a few years ago but I think he’s made tremendous improvements in this regard. These improvements are why he’s a most improved candidate.
I don’t agree with the rule forbidding two-way players from being able to be on play-in/play-off rosters. There should at least be an injury exception. For instance, the Bulls are down to only 10 healthy players. 9 if Caruso can’t play.
