Rumors are he was putting the ball 20 rows up in warmups!! Calculated to be about an 84 yard FG!
Seriously though, they have to at least kick the tires on him right?

That was a projection from a Bleacher Report writer, I not think there is really any validity to it.
Ok...could be. Just one.of the Lions Facebook feeds were hyping it like something had happened.

I'm not saying he should be the pick but koolaid at +700 might be the one I would bet on. Holmes attended the Bama pro day and has been linked to this pick for awhile.
With Brad it is hard to predict. Their draft board is different than others. If they Edge Rusher or Offensive Lineman who they have an ultra high grade on, they will snatcb him up. Odds are someone they are really high on will slip.
My biggest bet would be that Detroit doesn't actually pick at 29. Brad seems to like to move around a lot.

In his 3 years in Detroit, Brad Holmes has drafted 5 Pro Bowlers.

Hopefully Brad can work his magic once again and get a couple more PB caliber players. Will be a bit more difficult with less draft capitol.

To me this is a very deep draft. I think we could package up out late round picks and get something in the mid 4th round. There are going to be some good players fall. One thing for certain, Brad will make some moves, and it won't take any time for him to get his pick in. The man prepares and knows what he wants.

I saw Theo Day play in HS a few times, he was on the same HS team as Hutch. Hardly noticed Hutch but Day was the best HS QB I ever saw play. 6-4, rocket arm and a great runner. Was very surprised his college career never really took off.

Drove by the draft area yesterday. I know it will be done perfect by draft day but seems like they still have quite a bit of loose ends to tie up around the area.
They will have to block off the streets around the area as it is in the middle of downtown and it will be gridlocked for blocks.

44 TDs. Pretty amazing when you realize the entire Kansas City offense only had 39 TDs.

Observations: blue face masks, block lettering, refreshed Honolulu Blue with classic silver pants (home), bright white with blue pants (road), no more WCF shoulder patch (it’s a small decal on the back of the helmet.)
Alternate jersey is black/black with blue helmet, throwback will continue to be the 1950s silver helmet with no logo, blue/silver.

Going with the whiter numbers at home picked up the look. Those darker silver or grey numbers did not look good.

OK looking at their website it’s clear which 3 helmets they’re going with:
- the new silver w/ revised stripe + blue facemask
- the alt blue helmet with black logo
- classic all silver with no logo for the throwback uni

I think that would qualify as 2. If you can remove the logo/stripes and change facemask color and nothing else, that constitutes the same helmet. Then the separate all blue helmet as the 2nd helmet.

Throwback helmets don’t count per an NFL memo earlier this month. Teams have the option to add a 3rd helmet this year or next, the Lions opted for the latter.

yeah got hurt Week 2 v Seattle, missed a few games, played through it all year - partly why his play fell off a shade from the previous season
only other Safeties under contract rn are Iffy Melifonwu and Brandon Joseph. been rumors they have been in talks with Tracy Walker for a return at Vet minimum. I def think S is on their draft wishlist if the board falls the right way. although the top priorities are probably CB, ED, WR, G & C. Thankfully none of those are gaping holes so they'll be able to stay within their BPA (who also checks all of their boxes as a football player.)
When I posted that, I had not yet seen the black jerseys. I really like them and I absolutely love the blue helmet with the black logo and black stripes.
