Direct Headline: U.S. Women’s Soccer Team’s Equal Pay Demands Are Dismissed by Judge

...The judge in the United States women’s soccer team’s equal pay lawsuit rejected the players’ most important claims on Friday, delivering a crushing blow to the team’s four-year legal campaign against the United States Soccer Federation.... In his ruling, he dismissed the players’ arguments that they were systematically underpaid by U.S. Soccer in comparison with the men’s national team. In fact, Klausner wrote, U.S. Soccer had substantiated its argument that the women’s team had actually earned more “on both a cumulative and an average per-game basis” than the men’s team during the years at issue in the lawsuit...The players, including stars like Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and Carli Lloyd, eagerly embraced that fight. They leveraged their popularity and their huge social media followings to rally supporters and, critically, U.S. Soccer sponsors to their side...Asked in March what it would take to avoid a trial this year, Rapinoe replied acidly, “An actual offer for equal pay, and some considerable damages as well....”

....The legal fight officially began in April 2016, when five top women’s players — acting, they said, on behalf of the team — filed a wage discrimination complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the federal agency that enforces civil rights laws against workplace discrimination. In their filing, the players said they were being shortchanged on everything from bonuses to appearance fees to meal money... and sued U.S. Soccer for wage discrimination...

....U.S. Soccer long argued that the claims of discrimination were unfair. It said, accurately, that the players had negotiated their own pay and working conditions in a series of collective bargaining agreements, and it even produced fact sheets arguing that the female players had actually earned more than the men in recent years....In February, after years of failed negotiations and angry exchanges in court, the team even set a price for ending its lawsuit: $67 million. The amount, they said in a court filing, represented years of back pay and damages....

VIDEO: Soccer Feminists Oppress Themselves... How To Fix It  Andrew Schulz May 9, 2020

This week U.S. Women’ Soccer sued on the basis of gender discrimination for a contract THEY asked for. The judge threw the case out. The lawsuit is stupid, BUT these chicks should get paid more than the men... and I know how to fix it.

"You can't sue someone for giving you the contract, you asked for....You also can't call someone a sexist for giving you a contract, you asked for...if you ask for a sexist contract, US Soccer isn't oppressing you, you are oppressing you...."

Rapinoe has signed endorsement deals with Nike and Samsung. She has appeared in multiple commercials for Nike throughout her career. In 2013, she appeared in advertisements for the clothing company Wildfang and began a partnership with medical device company, DJO Global. In 2016, she appeared in television commercials and print advertisements for Energy Brands' Vitamin Water. The same year, she was featured in a Nike commercial starring Cristiano Ronaldo. In 2019, she was sponsored by Procter & Gamble, BodyArmor, Hulu, LUNA Bar, and VISA. In 2021, she was announced as one of the new faces of Victoria's Secret, and appeared in ads for Subway. Rapinoe is included in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020. On July 7, 2022, Rapinoe was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest honor given to civilians, by President Joe Biden in a ceremony at the White House.

In 2020, U.S. Soccer’s Board of Directors approved $2.4 million in 2020 Innovate to Grow Fund grants to 27 Federation Members whose innovative programs show promise in building the sport of soccer at the grassroots level. The amount of funding awarded for 2020 is more than double the amount awarded for 2019. Overall, 15 player programs were awarded $1.6 million in addition to eight coaching programs and four referee programs ....The majority of 2020 grants (19) will invest in youth programs

Direct Headline: USWNT players reach settlement with U.S. Soccer for total of $24 million in pay discrimination lawsuit

The 28 U.S. women’s national team players who sued U.S. Soccer for pay discrimination in 2019 have reached a proposed settlement with the federation on Tuesday morning. U.S. Soccer has agreed to pay $22 million in back pay as direct compensation to the players as part of the resolution of the long legal dispute, which goes back to a 2016 complaint filed to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission....

“We’re so happy,” USWNT star Megan Rapinoe told The Athletic. “We feel like this is a huge win — obviously contingent upon the ratification of the CBA — but it will have equal pay on everything moving forward. It’s honestly kind of surreal. I feel like I need to take a step back. We’ve all been in the trenches of it for so long. I think I honestly don’t even understand how monumental this is.”...Rapinoe said that the players achieved the “justice” of future players never having to suffer the same inequities, or fight the same fight for equal pay — but also reflected on the players before them. Cone, a member of the ‘99 World Cup champion squad, was instrumental now on the other side as president.....A former national team player herself, Cone is facing a re-election battle against her predecessor Carlos Cordeiro to serve as president of U.S. Soccer. Legal costs for the federation have only increased over the past few years, with their annual fiscal report for FY2021 showing over $9 million paid to firm Latham & Watkins.....

....The federation had already anticipated a major hit to their financial reserves by 2023 (from about $120 million to $40 million) ..... so the settlement amount may be one that youth and state associations have a hard time understanding considering the overall scope of U.S. Soccer extends far beyond the senior national teams....

Direct Headline: Hope Solo Accuses Megan Rapinoe of ‘Bullying’ US Teammates Into Kneeling During Anthem

Hope Solo is not exactly in agreement with her former U.S. Women’s National Team player Megan Rapinoe’s political activism and accused the famous midfielder of “bullying” fellow team members into taking a knee at games.... Solo said she didn’t agree with the current USWNT captain’s decision to bring politics onto the pitch. “I think the rhetoric surrounding this team has been both divisive and inclusive. I guess it’s kind of where we are in politics in this day and age,” Solo said....Solo continued, “I think the kneeling thing can be very divisive. I’ve seen Megan Rapinoe almost bully players into kneeling because she really wants to stand up for something in her particular way....”

....Solo was referring to ongoing controversy within the USWNT and larger U.S. Soccer Federation regarding how teams are required to conduct themselves during the national anthem at games. Rapinoe and several other current USWNT opted to kneel during the anthem in games last year, but not everyone decided to do so — including forward Carli Lloyd....

....“For players that are standing I would say, continue to educate yourself,” Rapinoe previously told Goal. “Continue to educate yourself on the racial history in the country and continue to challenge yourself on why you’re standing, and why you’re putting maybe your personal beliefs over something like this that is so pressing to so many people....”...Rapinoe, who was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people last year, doesn’t shy away from making her political views known.....

Direct Headline: Megan Rapinoe's Post-Olympic Woes Continue as Subway Franchises Want Her Dropped

....Now, a group of Subway franchise owners want the soccer player pulled from ads, claiming that her testimonial has caused a dip in sales and questions about the store's reputation....Rapinoe became one of the faces of the fast-food restaurant prior to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with the ad showing primarily during the Olympic Games, which ended on Sunday. She has been an outspoken member of the women's national team for equal pay as the men's team, equal rights for the LGBTQ community and has been the face of athletes outside of American football kneeling during the national anthem....

...Nearly 22,000 Subway restaurants are owned by individual franchisees, of which 4.5 percent of their revenue goes back into the parent company for advertising and other overhead costs, according to the New York Post. Some of those franchise owners have spoken out, saying they have received notes on their businesses and bad word of mouth....The owner of that particular store said they get tired of "apologizing" for the ad...."The ad should be pulled and done with," one franchisee said. "It gets tiring apologizing...."

....The franchise ownership is comprised mostly of mom-and-pop style businesses around the country, including this one in Arizona that said spending corporate dollars for "political" statements was "out of bounds."..."Spending our money to make a political statement is completely and totally out of bounds..."....Nearly half (45%) of U.S. consumers say Subway should respect public sentiment and drop Megan Rapinoe as a brand ambassador.... per a Piplsay survey. The U.S. soccer star, who appears in Subway’s latest ad campaign, is facing some backlash after kneeling during the Tokyo Olympics to protest racism....

Direct Headline: Victoria’s Secret ditches its ‘Angels’ for soccer star Megan Rapinoe

....Ms. Rapinoe, a star member of the U.S. women’s soccer team and an LGBTQ activist, called the company’s past image “patriarchal, sexist” and said it was based on appealing to men....The company was “viewing not just what it meant to be sexy but what the clothes were trying to accomplish through a male lens and through what men desired,” she said....According to the BBC, she also said Victoria’s Secret was “very much marketed toward younger women,” which she called “really harmful.”....Martin Waters, Victoria’s Secret chief executive, told The New York Times that “right now” he did not see the Angels as being “culturally relevant.”...The BBC attributed the rebrand to “a cultural shift around the #metoo movement and body positivity”...Other members of the VS Collective include Valentina Sampaio, Victoria’s Secret’s first transgender model, plus-sized model and “body advocate” Paloma Elsesser....

..... Over the past few years, Victoria’s Secret’s been tainted by a series of scandals. The first of them broke in 2019, when it was revealed that the brand’s founder and CEO, Leslie Wexner, had close ties with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein; Epstein had managed Wexner’s finances and other aspects of the company for nearly 20 years. One year later, a New York Times investigation that featured interviews with more than 30 current and former executives, employees, contractors, and models exposed Victoria’s Secret’s “entrenched culture of misogyny, bullying, and harassment.” Soon after, the company’s sales took a hit. Victoria’s Secret continues to be one of the world’s largest lingerie brands, generating $6.81 billion in 2019, but the company’s profits are slowly declining....

Between 2016 and 2018, Victoria Secret’s U.S. market share dropped from 33 to 24 percent. In 2019 alone, the brand’s stock plunged 40 percent, forcing the company to close 53 stores and relaunch its swimwear line. Victoria’s Secret’s chief marketing officer, Ed Razek, and its executive vice president, April Holy, both resigned that same year, and the brand’s famous annual fashion show was cancelled. In fact, Wexner was ready to sell the company to private equity firm Sycamore Partners for $525 million, but the deal was called off when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. ....In 2018, Razek, then chief marketing officer of Victoria’s Secret’s parent company, L Brands, was forced to apologize after telling Vogue that he didn’t want transgender models in the brand’s show because it would spoil the “fantasy.” In the same interview, he confessed to having no interest in portraying a wider range of sizes in its branding. “We market to who we sell to, and we don’t market to the whole world....”

“We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want.” - Martin Waters, former Victoria's Secret chief of international business

"The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!" - President Donald Trump

“I know it’s shocking women would break an agreement because they’re in a position to benefit financially.”  - Comedian Andrew Schulz on Women's Soccer controvesy

"We've all been informed by the Left that gender is a social construct...anytime Megan Rapinoe wants, she can go try and play with the men....so she's not doing the same work that the men (in soccer) are doing...."  - Ben Shapiro

This is a thread dedicated to the total carnage that wokester Megan Rapinoe has inflicted onto all of Women's Soccer, Subway, Victoria's Secret and the entire LGBT movement. Rapinoe keeps claiming she is being discriminated against but the actual context shows that this embattled millionaire led lawsuits to fight a contract that she advocated for signing herself. (While collecting said millions from endorsements for the endless shock marketing she created for those brands) And she got a nuisance settlement for a contract she helped to negotiate and even signed herself. Bizarrely but not unexpectedly, the driver of the settlement was a former women's soccer player Cindy Parlow Cone, now on the other side of the dispute, who magically needed 9 million to fund her own set of wild lawsuits in a power struggle. So who is oppressing Rapinoe more than Rapinoe here?

And more investigation asks the hard questions on if Rapinoe

1) Is a racist, based on her Anti-Asian tweet

2) Is a bully to her own former teammates, as per Hope Solo's claims

3) Deserved the Medal Of Freedom ( for doing what exactly?)

4) Carries endless vitriol against younger women, as focused in her deal with Victoria's Secret, which would make her a larger overall bigot than those she routinely denounces

5) Helped to punish Mom and Pop type Subway owners as her branding, at their actual expense, caused grief and negative toxic customer backlash

6) Is intolerant herself as she denounces anyone who disagrees with her relentless wokeness as those who need to "educate themselves"

7) Has ultimately stolen from youth soccer programs, as the nuisance settlement from US Soccer for 22 million reduces their capability to keep handing out grants meant to promote the sport all across the country to children

My take? Megan Rapinoe is the end result of what happens when you have a current modern society, soaking in Identity Politics, woke and cancel culture, that has enabled what amounts to open cultural terrorism on the masses by selfish hypocritical grifters.

Everything she touches turns to ash. And she's celebrated for it as a hero. That's the point of cultural terrorism - To make hating America marketable.

I'll leave this here for others to discuss.

My wife loves soccer.  I bought her a Rapinoe jersey after the World Cup.  Then she started doing what she's done.  I think she gave the jersey to Goodwill.

The medal of freedom sure isn’t what it used to be.  Rapinoe?  Come on.  But, if creeps like Jim Jordan can get it, I guess anyone can?
