Not a fan of this one, though in terms of split personality movies, my favorite is probably Identity. That movie is nuts.
Oh wow, I saw Identity but didn't know the name. That would have been on my list if I had remembered - good call. Insanely good cast, too:

Plenty of one liners, it's got Buffy and Jennifer "bouncing" all around, what's not to love about this movie. I didn't care for the 2nd one and I've never seen the TV series so can't comment on that.

Bad Taste

A team from the intergalactic fast food chain Crumb's Crunchy Delights descends on Earth, planning to make human flesh the newest taste sensation. After they wipe out the New Zealand town Kaihoro, the country’s Astro-Investigation and Defense Service (AIaDS) is called in to deal with the problem. Things are complicated due to Giles, an aid worker who comes to Kaihoro the same day to collect change from the residents. Identity was great.

Split was downright disturbing. Extremely well acted. I just did not care for the whole Mr Glass, Unbreakable tie in at the end. I don’t feel it made it better. It kinda cheapened it for me.

This was the movie I wondered if scoresman kicked out for not being horror. But the bolded is why i like it so much.

Hell yeah - Messiah of Evil, baby!!

Both 80s and I watched that last season and both really dug the weird, Lynchian atmosphere. I had never heard of the movie, but it was included in a discussion from The Pure Cinema podcast I was listening to.
Yeah, not one I've seen. Sounds like one to pop on some random midnight

I was the only one to rank this so obviously I really like it. I think it did a great job retelling the story without overshadowing the original nor failing to live up to it. If you haven't seen it yet because you aren't sure of the whole remake/reboot thing, see it. See it now.
Just watched this thanks to Frostillicus and this thread. I remember when this came out a few years ago and I rewatched the original in anticipation but never got around to viewing this one. It is a good story and adds some layers to the mythology and the acting by the lead is quite believable. I was not aware Jordan Peele was involved in this but you can see his finger prints on it in a good way.
Enjoyed it, thanks for the rec!

Same- just hadn’t thought of it but I can see it. Probably will end up as one of the 5 or 10 best films of the whole exercise.

The weirdest part of the honorable mentions is that a movie I ranked slightly higher isn’t listed, meaning it made the top 200 list, which really surprises me - eager to see where.

Same. I had at least one ranked higher that I didn't expect to place, due to how recently it was released

This one was actually kind of fun with all the call backs from actors like the nurse from the original and different characters like tommy and the cop. And boy howdy was it a bloody good time at the end with the whole town involved in the mayhem. Not a darkly fun as the predecessor but infinitely better than the last one.

I knew I wanted at least one Ti West movie somewhere on my list, and this is actually my favorite of his. I'm a sucker for 80's period movies and this one does it well. It's effectively an 80s horror movie shot in 2009. It's hard to pinpoint what I like about it exactly, but I rewatch it all the time. I think it just oozes with the atmosphere it tries to create. And Tom Noonan is just such a naturally creepy guy for this kind of movie.

Please comment if you think this cadence of releasing the list is ok. Like 5-6/day? Or if its too fast or too slow.

I lack any sense of self control so like Veruca Salt I want the full list Now, daddy, now! But, if you want to stretch the anticipation like a good horror movie is want to do then 5-6/day is perfect, imo.
