Child's Play is a fun 80's-chic romp that spawned one of the funner sequel runs. The current series is decent as well. Love when Meg Tilly shows up. lol

Mandy is a bloody good time and Nic Cage is fabulously full on Nic Cage in this one. Imagine Tarantino finding the extra tanker truck of blood left over from Kill Bill and then hooking up a fire house and spraying it on screen for 90 minutes and this is what you get. Loved it!

See, I've never even heard of Mandy. This is the kind of the film that I appreciate being brought to my attention for future viewing, even though the "extreme" warning suggests it might not be exactly my thing.
It is extreme but not in a Hostile or Saw manner, more in the oodles and oodles of blood. There were some good kills though, thats for sure.

Its a fun, crazy, trippy movie with Nic Cage at his best! Only just watched it last October for the Halloween marathon.

I liked Mandy. Child's Play was fine. Never saw Deathgasm.
Same. Child's Play was ok for a first view but not something I ever felt like watching again. I probably saw 1 or 2 of the sequels but couldn't say for sure.
Will look into Deathgasm.

KP can talk more to Deathgasm but I remember it being a cool mix of wayne's world and Evil Dead. Just a fun movie.

Adding Mandy and Deathgasm to my queue to check out.

I flipped and flopped on adding Childs Play even at where I placed it, but in the end I thought it’s withstood the test of time and did spawn a good set of sequels IMO. Especially Bride of Chucky. LOL

It's notable for its use of color - just wild red and purple scenes all over. I started it and got interrupted, then never went back... but it's still in my queue.

I liked Child's Play when I was a kid, but a more recent rewatch of the series places some of the more recent sequels above the original in terms of quality and fun. The Voodoo stuff in the original still makes no sense to me as an adult. Overall I enjoy the franchise.
Mandy is a wild ride.
Deathgasm is a lot of fun, but it didn't crack my top 75. Its tone and humor is in my wheelhouse.

In related sad news, the Timberline Lodge just outside of Portland, which is where the exterior shots of the Overlook Hotel were filmed caught fire last night and is closed until further notice.

I thought this was a very good sequel that satisfied fans of both The Shining movie and book. Was a late cut for me and might have placed had it not been for my bias against sequels, prequels, reboots and offshoots

Same, had it in the 60s before axing it

I hated Doctor Sleep. Didn't even finish it. Seeing now that it's from Mike Flanagan explains it.. i don't like anything he's done.

I thought is was decent. Probably not in my top 200 though.

As far as Childs Play....yeah it has not aged all that well. I actually think the last two sequels were better than the original....but they are not required viewing at all.

Childs Play 2,3 Bride of Chucky and whatever other one with Jennifer Tilly (Seed of Chucky) are just so bad lol.

Curse of Chucky was probably my favorite and Cult was a fun romp too!

Yeah I'm one those that found Skinamarink boring and tedious. It was certainly different in the camera setup and pov but overall, meh.

I may need to re-up my Shudder subscription. Have never seen this one.

I watched Skinamarink for about 20 minutes until I realized that this was it, this is the movie. I applaud them for the originality but it wasn't for me.

I have yet to watch it. I've queued it up many times, but the thought of being utterly bored by it like so many people say makes me switch to something else each time.

I'm all for atmospheric horror, but there's a limit. I should probably just watch it.

I really nejoyed this movie. It didn't make my top 75 because I've never felt the need to rewatch it.
