Well it was fun while it lasted. Does he have any value after Danny Trevathan returns?
Assuming Trevathan is back, and Von, Irving and Marshall are healthy, how would you rank the value of each? Does Trevathan assume last year's role (leading tackler last year)? Does Von's role change with Trevathan back?I don't see why not. Gotta get your best players on the field and Marshall was super productive.
Also no guarantees Trevathan is 100%
Perfect. Great point about the preseason competition for MLB. Thanks.Kool-Aid Larry, on 03 Sept 2014 - 10:12 PM, said:

It's a good thought but I don't see Marshall taking over inside. I suppose it's possible, but they have been looking for options (Chaney-Barrow-Irving) through the offseason and Marshall didn't get much of a look. I wouldn't be heavily on Trevathan returning by Week 5, but it shouldn't be long after that even if he doesn't meet the early rehab goal. If you can get him at LB3 prices or less and have 6-8 weeks to float him on the roster, I'd add him.Jene, what is your best guess on what will happen when Trevathan returns for the Broncos? Any chance Marshall replaces Irving at MLB? Assuming Marshall continues his strong play into the regular season, of course.
On the one hand I could see a parallel with Woodyard finally getting his shot and keeping it from a few years ago due to injury (DJ Williams?). On the other maybe play-calling is a special talent and they'll need to retain Irving in that role. Or maybe even a Trevathan/Marshall platoon to slowly work Trevathan back?
Total speculation I know but tough to roster Marshall for likely just a 4-week stint and also factors into how hard / when to go after Trevathan in trades / waiver wire.
A few options:Where do you guys find the snap count information?
Trev will supposedly be back this year so I wouldn't count him out for 2015.I'm gonna assume Marshall has found himself a home. He will be one of your starting LBs for the foreseeable future. Del Rio trusts him. Trevathan is starting to seem injury prone. I can see it being Marshall, Miller, and maybe Nelson in 2015? Not sure where Barrow might fit in. Probably Barrow instead of Nelson?
I'm not saying count him out totally. But man, he's been taking a lot of injuries. I'm just saying to be cautious on how you view him in 2015. Broken tibia and now a fracture above the knee? I don't believe they have much invested in him so if he can't stay healthy and get on the field, they have depth to move on from him. Not saying they will, but it's not a weak position for them.Trev will supposedly be back this year so I wouldn't count him out for 2015.I'm gonna assume Marshall has found himself a home. Anything that happens on two point conversion doesn't count for stats, whether it be offensively or defensively. Only thing that can be scored for fantasy purposes is whether 2 Pt is good or not, if that makes sense. Basically, it's not a timed down and it's either successful or unsuccessful. If he had picked it off it would simply go down as unsuccessful and no stats would be given to anybody. He broke up a attempted 2 point conversion pass from Alex Smith. No pass defended scored.
