Amazing Race 26 Finale tonight 8pm EST (1 Viewer)

I might have to get back into this since they changed nights. I gave up a few years ago when golf always ran long and the DVR would only record half of the show. :wall:

Only Wednesday for the premiere. Back to Sunday for the rest.
This is not correct.

After the premiere tonight, it switches back to the Friday night at 8:00pm slot is used last season.

So we are going to get 2 episodes in just 3 days as episode 2 is this Friday.

My bad. Sorry CJW. Forgot they moved to Fridays from Sundays.
Yea.. they moved the original CSI (Vegas) to the dreaded 9pm Central time slot on Sundays during the football season..and shock upon shock the ratings for it fell to the point they will probably cancel it now.. :kicksrock:

Guessing one of the writers and/or producers of the show pissed off CBS executives to get shoved into such a crappy time slot.

I've recorded many an episode of The Good Wife to make sure I get the whole show. Should not be many problems on Fridays though now.

Only watched the first 40 minutes or so but this season looks like a :tfp: waiting to happen.. in a good way!!

Laughing at the hair dresser guy who said "we're gonna nail this dance the first time". 25 attempts later, they finally made it. He sure reminds me of the wrestler guy from last season.

Man that sake task was crazy easy. The regret on the one guy who spent 4 hours dancing... :lmao:
It was odd that rather than switch on an obviously hard task for some that teams like knowing other people are around rather than switch to an unknown yet way easier task.

That had to be the worst episode of The Amazing Race ever. How stupid are these contestants? Have a group of 4-5 at the dance thing and not one of them thought, "hey, lets go try the sake one." Seriously! Not one group switched? What dumb people this group is.

The top three look to almost run away with this thing or at least finish as the top 3. These teams are stupid.

Not sure if I could date the nurse (Hayley?) She's cute and all but is she annoying? Navy doctor seems indifferent to her.

yeah, once you know that one of the two will have big trouble with it, you have to take a chance and switch.

I hope those selfies don't go on all season. Horrible.

No unlikable teams so far. I feel bad for those Japanese dancers that had to be there all day.

Yep, I posted the same thing above. So many of those teams looked like it would take them a ton of time, as it did. You would think one of them would think hey, that other team looked awful it will take them a while, we should be safe to switch instead of hoping we can beat them here. That sake one was a piece of cake.

I didn't think I'd like the blind date aspect but I do so far.
I think that could end up being an interesting twist and provide some solid drama.
I think most of them seem decent already. The people who finished first and second seem like good teams, so even if there is no connection, they seem like they will try to win and do well. The one blonde chick and the guy with the black hair seem like they have a connection (or at least she already wants to get hitched) and the gay couple seem like they are good. The doctor and the blonde are the ones I can see falling apart because she is high maintenance and he is just a plain doorknob and has no game. All he had to do was help her off the challenge instead of standing by the plane tickets and they are on the first plane and the people who won are on the second plane. The winning guy was right there helping his blind date.

Well that sucked. The team that got eliminated quickly became our favorite team in the race. You knew they weren't going to last long but it would have been hilarious to see them win it with the casual attitude they had. We were hoping for at least one more week with them. I could barely understand a word that guy said.

And again, how do the fat couple not go for the eating challenge first. It's what you are good at! Then they try the ice skating a second time. So stupid. I do like them though but I don't see how they get on a show like this.

There's actually a certain advantage that the blind date teams have in that they can focus on the race and not get too emotionally involved in their teammate. Some connections are being made though. Good job by the matchmakers.

This leg seemed awfully easy.

And when will Westerners learn that you don't go to Asia and hug the locals?

Just watched the first two episodes and agree. Hope it can stay this way. And the ones who won the first two legs are adorable.

:goodposting: Thought it was a stupid twist unworthy of (and unnecessary to) TAR. It provides a fun twist so far.

Also, Tyler :hey:

I really dislike the dating thing they are doing. Hope they never think about doing it again. I don't care about their sleeping arrangements after the legs end. I don't care to see the New Kid on the Block enjoying a date with his beloved boyfriend. I don't care for selfies. I don't care for lame marriage proposals. They've ruined this season but I like the show and I will continue to watch.

The cross dressing Lady Boy challenge was weird. When they showed the audience and they all had pillows in the lap, it felt even weirder.

I thought the CBS yentas have done a pretty good job making up the pairs. Except for the gay dudes. Guess they don't know about how some dudes like the bears over there.

But the nurse. God. The yapping. How he hasn't drowned her yet. He wasn't too excited about her at the start, and now it's just worse.

But, then again, her in the showgirl outfit. Impressive upstairs. Almost makes up for the mouth. Almost.
my wife wants to murder her. She hates girls like that

Does anyone like girls like that? (Excluding her impressive upstairs)

Domestic violence enthusiasts.

Agreed. I don't have anything against gay people at all, but it sure seems like they are force feeding it to us this season. It doesn't really bother me with the teams, but that "bar" or whatever it was definitely jumped over the line. I watch with my 8th grade son (my younger boys sometimes watch too, but not that one) and it felt dirty, not in terms of the teams again, but the people in the audience. It would have been like a challenge at a porno movie theater with a bunch of Pee-Wee Herman's with popcorn buckets in their laps in the audience. It just skeeved me out like I am sure it did to you.

I liked her until the last episode, but yeah, that was freaking ridiculous.
Honestly, I feel bad for her. I think she is getting the bad edit more than the doctor she is with and I think that is setting her off. She is a nurse and something tells me she deals with doctors like that a lot and that may be getting her to this point. Remember day one? Every single dating guy helped their dates through the challenge. It was clear from her interviews that she is higher maintenance, but the black guy helped his date even though the nurse was in front of her and the doctor was waiting at the tickets and didn't help at all. She fell, the other couple got the last good flight time. His interview made it seem like he couldn't figure out why he couldn't find a girl and that first challenge made me realize why. I think they would rather show her blowing up on him because it is good TV, but he's been wrong multiple times (directions the week before and what to carry this week) and she's said that she thought he was and he ignored her. Problem is that he clams up when he is wrong, seems like he doesn't want to admit it. Sorry for the long winded post, just feel bad for her because I thought he was a complete **** at the start. Any other of the dating guys and she'd be a lot better.

That said, I did really enjoy her boobs in the dancing outfit, so that could be a factor as well. ;)

That's a good point. The doctor seems to lack communication/inter-personal skills. He's a quiet guy so when the nurse gets frustrated she comes across as a yappy nag in comparison.

I think she's getting a bad edit. I see nothing wrong with her. If she talks too much, she can fill her mouth with something to fix it.

The nurse is annoying, it's not a bad edit. She's cute but she's incredibly high maintenence and a ##### when things don't go her way. Anybody that can go from smiling to being a complete crack at a moment's notice and vice versa is scary.

I liked her at the start so this is disappointing.

They did a bad job with the blind dates but maybe that was intentional.

Tyler and Laura are the only ones that have a chance, they both seem pretty grounded and have good attitudes.

Jackie seems nice but she's not particularly attractive. Pretty sure that dude is thinking the same thing.

Nothing wrong with the nurse. Guy doesn't say much. Bad edit.

Jenny and Jackie are looking good but I'd take the nurse first.

I don't see it as a bad edit. He's just trying to get through with it with as little drama as possible. Tough position to be in with cameras in your face all the time.
