Anyone remember this cartoon or character as a kid? Debate going on between family members about whether a show with this character actually existed. Google not much help.

Update: There may also have been a character names "Dynamite Scott" -- a pilot or something. This may have been a puppet show, not a cartoon.

Doesn't ring a bell. Closest I can remember is this.

The only puppet squirrel I can remember from when I was a kid was Sherlock on The Magic Garden.

Someone mentioned a vague memory of "Dynamite Scott, Air Ace, and his mechanic Squeaky Nutt." Ring a bell with anyone?

I remember Squeaky Nutt. He was on the puppet cartoon of Dynamite Scott "Air Ace" and his faithful companion "Squeaky Nutt" fighting against Dynamite Scott's Arch Enemy Dr. Knuckles. Dynamite fought a never ending battle for justice and was also assisted by the beautiful and innocent Melissa Vanderhilt. I believe it was on a show called Sneakers.
