***official 2015 Red Sox thread*** (1 Viewer)

Big game today, Sox looking to win their 4th straight series. Orioles have giving the Sox all sorts of problems the last few years and it would be nice to win the first series against them this season.

Victorino needs to be on the bench.

Seriously, no one in here? I have a Red Sox fan acquaintance on Twitter and he is just the ####### worst, because of him alone, I hope they lose every game and Farrell gets fired and then sleep apnea so he can't even have his "dream job" in his sleep anymore.

Moops and Romney have checked in. Can't wait for {i####] and Wilked to stop by, you know...because Sux fans are the best ever.

Time to clean house...again
There's a lot of poorly-spent money on that roster that would be pretty hard to move. I don't think Sandoval or Porcello would fetch anything in return, and likely would require Boston eating some money. Castillo does not look good. Ortiz can't fight off time forever. Hanley is terrible with the wall (prob should've given him a test first) and isn't much better as an IF.

The good news is the farm system seems loaded, I don't think Boston's going to have enough money avail to buy its way back into relevance just with free agency alone. Maybe hide Hanley at 1B?

The biggest issue is this team is totally unlike able. They don't do anything well, the personalities are annoying, and there is no clear fix. Maybe the youngsters will come around or get promoted. But they could end up trading them. In short, they are a hot mess in the short term.

If you win your fans will like you, short of having your players slug their wives on national TV. Pats fans would hate the Pats if they were the "New York Patriots."

Went to two Tiger games at Fenway last weekend. Had a really good time. Sat in the bleachers both nights - great place to sit.

On Friday, saw Porcello's only good start of the season. Sox fans can't be happy about that $85 million.

Definitely not happy.

However, he has had 9 quality starts this year. And not that QS is that great of an indicator, but he certainly has had more than one good start.

That extension was surreal.

David Ortiz at 493 HR. Does he make it to 500 this year?

I guess we could also talk about the left to right possibility of Betts, Bradley, Castillo which would be a damn sweet defensive outfield on 2016
