The Goal Line Defense Association is a 16-team startup dynasty league hosted by realitysportsonline.com. It is listed as public league 2482. The teams are broken up into 4 divisions representing 2 conferences. 4 teams from each conference (2 division winners and 2 next best wild card teams) will make the playoffs.

In a nutshell, GLDA features: 30 man roster, IDP, PPR, $50 leaguesafe.com held prize fund ($75 - 1st year and 1/2 of second year at inception), 1QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB/WR/TE FLEX, 1 DT, 1 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 PK, trade incentives, holdouts, fully developed league charter to be voted on. The Goal-Line Defense Association (GLDA) is a Fantasy Football Dynasty League that incorporates salary caps, rookie drafts, multi-year player contracts, holdouts, and franchise tags playing for US Dollars ($$$). It requires dedicated owners who will commit the time necessary to manage their franchises year round. The NFL is a year round operation; fantasy football is now, too.

Holdouts: If a player produces within the top 10 scorers at his position and is not within the top 10 salaries at his position, he will be designated a holdout. The new salary for a holdout will be the average of the previous year’s top 10 salaries at his position. If a player is designated as a holdout, you will be able to sign him to a 2, 3, or 4 year contract.

Rookies: Three round draft, lottery style selection order, rookies will be signed to 4-year contracts, with a team option for a fifth year for first rounders. The fifth year will be paid at the average of the previous year’s top 10 salaries at his position. This fifth year option will not count as the team’s franchise tag.

Fines: In order to increase the prize fund, each owner will prepay $25 annually as a fine fund. Fines are for: $5 Starting a player on a bye week, $2 Starting a player out injured, $1 Each player who scores 0 points, $1 for adding a player, $1 for dropping a player, $1 for the lowest scoring team, $5 for the largest defeat of the week. Good news: You will be forgiven for $5 worth of your accumulated fines by participating in a trade! $25 maximum fines per season.

Payouts: League Champion: 50%, Runner-up: 20%, Comeback King (most times behind going into MNF and winning): 7.5%, Rookie of the Year: 7.5%, Highest Scoring Franchise: 7.5%, Lowest Scoring Franchise: 7.5%. (Should equal 100%)

Stagefrite, thanks for the invite. I signed up last week and I am already getting to know all the other owners on the message board. I was looking all over for a new start up dynasy league to join so first I started with the platform. I have done dynasty leagues, redraft leagues, auction leagues, and salary cap leagues already but I wanted something different, a new challenge as close to running an NFl franchise as possible so I decided on the Reality Sports online site. I've doing playing fantasy football for 15+ years and I have been in too many leagues to count at this point. I have seen the main reasons why they fail from lack of participation half way through the year to the dictatorship like approach some commishioners take which leads to nothing but a slow steady decling in the fun factor which is why we joined in the first place.

There are two main reasons why I decided to join your league after looking at all my options. One, you posted the bylaws upfront for all the owners to see on the message board and encouraged feedback to make it "our" league. Two, the investment and payout structure you created means owners are most likely to stay in the league year over year and continue to participate. I really like the way you have set up incentives for teams to trade.

I can't wait for the league to get started. We just have a couple more spots to fill.
