Probably gonna do it next weekend. I found a pic of an octopus foot tattoo that's similar to the type of tattoo I want and best bang for you buck, although I think the tatoo will be a little more detailed. Thoughts?

You want something like that? Similar ?

Will you be painting your toenails also?

Twice I went to a tatoo parlors intent on getting a tattoo. (once on vacation in Ft Lauderdale, and once on vacation in Vegas). Both times I left because I couldn't find anything I wanted to live with for the rest of my life.

I have a tattoo. Got it about 20 years ago. It was right before tattoos became mainstream again. I loved it. Now, everyone has a tattoo, or a sleeve, or their face tattooed. I feel like it's lost its cool factor. I don't regret my tattoo, but I'm glad I went with something small and in a place where people can only see it if I want them to.

When I'm flaccid, it says "HE", but when I'm hard it says "HEY".

Tramp stamp down?
:goodposting:

You gotta get it on your lower back man.... it's pretty much the best play.

Then you have the octopus reach out to touch your tribal armband.

Then finish it all off with a face or neck piece.

Find something you like. Stash it away for a year, if you still want it a year later, go for it.

I have been collecting ideas for tattoos for 10 years. So far I have two. Both mean something to me and I love them, but I went through hundreds of ideas before making that commitment.

ETA-

No coy fish, hands praying, tribal bands,

Asianed lettering, silhouette of birds/trees/bats, barbed wire, stars , spiderwebs on your elbow or Polynesian/The Rock tats.

Pretty much never get anything trendy.

I am not at all upset with the two I got. However, I think Im done at this point. Only thing I would probably consider is something to do with my kids

If I ever got a tattoo Id get the phrase "I'm dumb".

That way, when I'm over fifty and wondering why the hell I ever decided to get a tattoo, I can look at my tattoo and be reminded of the answer.

So in other words, you don't like them. Why not just say that?

Never understood this line of thinking. I don't like a lot of things but I don't think people are morons for liking them.

I have a half-sleeve and don't regret it for a second. Took me a couple years to finally decide on my design and have been working/thinking about my next one for about a year now. As mentioned, take your time and find a design that means something to you.

It's really hard for me. As I said above, I'll never get anything trendy, I don't like skulls and I'm not religious so that eliminates 95% of tattoos it seems.

I wonder how many of the people who say they'll never get a tattoo are complete disasters ?

If I were a slob of gelatinous goo, I bet I'd "hate" tattoos, too.

i know ..i liked it better when certain individuals got tattoos. You knew who was not to be ####ed with and who was easy.now it's just jumbled because tattoos are pretty much mainstream

Please tell me the octopus has some sort of meaning to you.
octopus/ink/tattoo Get it?

He was probably in the Army.
One of these makes sense, and one does not.
It does if you look at it like a 6 year old kid.

An octopus is army, man.

what compels you to have a drawing of an octopus on your foot for the rest of your life?

I was with a chick once who had a bullseye as her tramp stamp.

I immediately went to the clinic afterwards.
