Not sure if this was discussed in the Arrow or Flash threads (Im sure it came up), but this looks cool-- MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS ABOUT ARROW

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MubNoWQiSc

Between The Flash, Arrow, Agents of Shield, AOS spin off and Agent Carter, Super heroes own the airwaves

Add in the Marvel Netflix stuff with Daredevil, Cage and Iron Fist and Jessica Jones and its a great time to be a geek

This one looks pretty good. I like the rag tag team of characters they've assembled. Altho it did give away how Ray survived the blowup in his building at the end of the Arrow season finale.

Caught the premier last night. Could be fun but since I am not familiar with most of the characters was a little hard to follow. Havent watched Arrow or Flash.

Giving it a chance since I also like Shield and some of the actors in this one....

Pretty slow premiere. I'll give it another episode to see it pick up. I did enjoy the bar fight scene. That was fun.

I can dig White Canary. Captain Cold and Firestorm are decent, but the rest don't do anything for me.

In, mainly because my kids were so excited for it. We watch Flash and Arrow, so I knew the characters. Snart (Cold) is a great character, but pretty meh on the rest. My son described it as "Dr. Who meets Superheroes". Hopefully it picks up a bit, agreed that the premiere was slow.

The writers of this show produce a plot with all the subtlety of a trash bag full of soup hitting the ground after being thrown off a 2-story building.

WB hit home runs with Arrow & The Flash.

Legends (thus far) has been awful IMO.
They're really trying to cram way too much into this show. 8 freaking heros? I'd love a show with the time traveling dude, the non-freeze bad guy, and white canary. Time travel dude would spend the entire episode trying to get the other two to not kill so many people that the timeline gets disrupted.

I love Arrow and Flash. Love them. This show is brutal. They took all the worst actors and characters from the other two shows and threw them together, except Sara, she's cool. If it was Laurel instead of Sara it would have completed the cycle. The only good thing about it so far is that we don't have to put up with those idiots in Arrow or Flash anymore.

I really want to like this, and there is some good humor with Capt Cold and Heatwave, but it is too much, and so much of it is over-the-top cheese. I hope it improves, because I love me some Arrow and Flash. And I loved Firestorm as a kid.

I'm out. This is one of the most idiotic shows ever.

They kill Savage, but not with the magic dagger. As he dies, Savage says he'll just heal and come back.

So they can carry dead Hawkman's body back to the ship, but just leave Savage's body behind?

:wall:

How about tying him up, throwing him in a cell, and slitting his throat again every 30 minutes while you get the magic dagger back to make it permanent?

Then to add to the stupidity, the moment they get back to the ship, they have the ship start calculating somewhere else in time he'll show up. I'll tell you where he'll show up, outside the ####### building you left his body in, if you just sit and watch it for long enough.

Power Rangers might have had better scripts than this. Please send Sarah back to Arrow and put her back in her corset.

The dumbest part is it seems reincarnation works differently for the hawks than savage. If it were the same they couldn't just watch the body and throw it in jail.

Both hawks need to die before their reincarnation begins again...at least to CB lore. Not sure how it will work here. I was a little excited to watch this show, but it's quickly fading. I like Sarah, Firestorm, and Snark/Heatwave - but man the rest is dragging things down. Maybe too many characters trying to vye for screen time, or somehow complicating the script. Especially if we need to focus on the mission of the week tied with a splinter group who tries to alter their own personal timelines. A little too much in a 60min timeslot.

Need to borrow the solution Dr. Morgan figured out on "Forever": If you can't kill the bad guy, find a way to totally paralyze him. If you can't move, even to speak or blink, you can't do much damage. Bonus is the bad guy gets to live as a veggie forever.

now that would actually make sense. Put him in the Flash's containment unit.

Put him in a coffin, transport him back in time to 100 years before the pyramids were built and bury him 500 feet below where the foundation of one will be. Good luck on ever being dug up.

ETA: don't know enough about him to know if this works or not--does his immortality mean he won't starve/suffocate to death or does it mean he will die and then reincarnate. And, what does his reincarnation mean? Will he come back to life where his body is or elsewhere?

So far they've only talked about when the Hawks die. If Savage kills them with the dagger, his immortality is renewed and they reincarnate. They've said that Savage will heal any wound not made by Hawkgirl with the dagger, which is the only thing that can kill him. I would guess that he would then reincarnate, and the cycle would continue.

Trapping Savage should just really piss him off should he ever emerge. Because of the cult built up around him, I would guess people would come looking and that would be how they would eventually get him back.

Welp ... that wrapped all that up with a bow in 20 minutes in last night's finale.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow has been inconsistent, but it's been renewed for a second season. And, in the Season 1 finale, they've introduced a pretty big whopper IMHO (in spoilers for those for watch the show on DVR):

The guy from the other timeship introduced himself as a member of the Justice Society of America. That brings Earth 2 directly into play for the Legends team. Accordingly, there have already been advertised crossovers between all four of the CW's DC properties (they'll have Supergirl in the fall).

Well, we saw on the last Flash how Zoom escaped at the last second. If Zoom survives the Flash S2 finale, they may be setting up for a whole mess of heroes from different shows to converge on Zoom & his crew on Earth 2. Mention of the Justice Society is interesting, because they have a guy -- Hourman -- whose powers are direct counter to Zoom's.

They could have really interesting storylines on the CW DC shows with Hourman, because he's both been a Justice Society member and an ex-member. Hourman could be a morally ambiguous character, as he can effectively counter both Zoom's and Flash's powers.

No need for the spoiler box above -- I couldn't remember the name of the guy that stepped off the other timecraft at the end of the Legends finale: it was Rex Tyler himself.

If the writers get this straight, Season 2 could be awesome.

Sad that they ended the Snart character.  He was half the charm of the show.

If you want to know....

Snart is back as one of the main villains in the Legion of Doom with Reverse Flash, Damien Dahrk, and Malcolm Merlyn this season.  I'm guessing they'll also be part of the larger crossover among GA, Flash, SG, and LoT.

So you’ve synthesized a potentially-lethal hallucinogen to give to your ex, hoping to help her figure out what’s going wrong with her abilities. Top things you should NOT do in this situation:

  1. experiment with this substance in any way while most of your team is going into a life-threatening situation as they may need backup, which you won’t be able to provide if you’re incapacitated or dead
  2. test the lethality of the substance by taking it yourself without telling anyone first
  3. ingest some of the substance, assume it must be safe because you didn’t die immediately, then insist that the only person around to supervise your “trip” and keep you alive should also take it so that you can both reach the apex of your incapacitation at the same time - oh yeah, still while most of the rest of your team is in a life-threatening situation they may need you to help with
This is what makes this show hard to like. Every one of the Legends is so stupid, they really don’t deserve to survive their missions. That’s including the “geniuses”, who really should know better.
