Gears of War: Ultimate Edition = Gears of War 1 remade

Edit: as of now there is no partying up only solo for the beta fyi

Right now their is a article on ign using "leaked" information aka accidentally hit the big red button to enhance hype.

here is what is said to be in the Gears of War 1 remake so far:

  • Adapted for Dolby 7.1 Surround
  • 90 minutes of new content for campaign mode of the original game on PC
  • New achievements for Xbox LIVE (player account 1250)
  • Gallery sketches and comics available to unlock
  • Streamlined multiplayer mode that runs at 60 frames per second and features dedicated servers
  • 19 cards, including downloadable content and exclusive cards from the PC version
  • The ability to gain access to the 17 characters of Gears of War 3 multiplayer games
  • New features match the settings, including the choice of parameters of the active charge, renewal, revival and the emergence of an independent arms.
  • Streamlined gameplay more fluid movements and updated management system, including an alternate control system and a brand new control scheme tournament
  • Added features from your favorite Gears of Wars 3: Marking enemy targets, the use of the device in a multiplayer game, improved sensitivity setting.
Obviously, dedicated servers is huge and for all the old school gears players here even though Gears Judgment sucked hard, and Gears 3 was actually quite good for multiplayer, the movement system has progressed tremendously from Gears 1/2.

Gears remastered is Gears 1.

E3 says a beta for it starts today for one week. It comes out August 25th. Gears 4 holiday 2016. This just shown on e3 so waiting for links.

Every single map from GoW 1 is back. Crazy how good that list is compared to how much junk most games toss out there these days.

 
The rumors posted earlier are verified by ign in this article. Added one thing with skill based matchmaking. :thumbup:

Also as dude said, go to gearsofwar.com to sign up for a beta code that goes live today(hopfully).

Oh hey guys.

Downloading now. Taking forever, probably won't play until tomorrow. That map list is so ####### awesome.

 
Still no code for dainty and I, they are saying 12-24 hour wait for the people that signed up during the initial fail. Also I didn't get a legacy code either... Also be aware there are two codes needed, one for downloading and onew for accessing.

 
Worth a mention here is that backwards compatability is coming to the xbox one for xbox 360 games. Around 100 games by the holidays they mentioned and I would be shocked if all the gears games weren't on the list due to Microsoft owning them now.

 
Played a bunch of rounds. Very smooth. Took me a minute to get used to the shotgun again. Doesn't seem a whole lot different from Gears 3 to be honest though.

I may around after the game tomorrow or late Wednesday if we can get an FBG game going. Gridlock gets old after awhile but always a lot more fun playing without randoms.

I'm too lazy to see if this is schtick. This doesn't come out till like August right?

They are planning to release a new map a day? At least they have a poll going for war machine, canals, roof tops, and courtyard.
 
She has like 125+ followers but hasn't been streaming nearly as much due to our Schedules. If she plays titan fall or other shooters a lot more people watch then borderlands or single player games.

 
This game definately has the gears 1 feel with its weighted feel and grittness.

Shotgun is more like the old one and one shot sniper actives are back. Boom shot and grenades have the less blast radius.

Noticed this too. Even active boom shot was weak as hell. And with only 2 shots I think it's better to just avoid it and focus on obtaining sniper rifle on Gridlock instead.

Right now it's just gridlock with tdm or kotH. They are adding more map's as time goes. As of right now there is no teamin up as the option says for me this is not a valance yet when I prompt the button to do it.
