Biggest dooshpickle - Cowherd or Harbaugh? (1 Viewer)

In general Cowherd would win any "Biggest Dooshpickle?" contest, but in this one case he was right. Why did Harbaugh even bother calling?

Yeah, I heard that earlier. Painful interview.

I haven't heard Harbaugh speak much, but it sounded like he was turned off from the very first question - like he was looking for a C.Y., "First off, how are you?"

He probably didn't like Colin's open where he made a comparison to Pete Carroll at USC who struggled in his first year there.

A) Harbaugh hates Carroll

B) I don't think Harbaugh believes he will struggle this year.

I remember listening to Harbaugh years ago in the Smack Off. I was walking around Mission Bay in SD with headphones and an AM Radio...when Harbaugh came on, it was very awkward. I just don't think he's cut out for live radio.

Not a Cowherd fan but that one was on Harbaugh. The questions were fine and gave him plenty to work with but he just didn't go with them at all. To his credit it didn't seem intentional.

Thought it was pretty freakin' funny personally  Second only to his "Who is Feinbaum" shtick.

He sure has a bunch of people bent out of shape already.

Holy hell. That was painful. Did Harbaugh even want to be on the show? I hope he has some more enthusiasm on recruiting trips. There must be more going on there. Knowing Cowherd, he said something about Harbaugh at some point that he didn't like and now he's cold shouldering him.

Loved to see it go down in flames on Cowherd. For those that have forgotten about the dpickle that was Rick Reilly, you have Cowherd.

This is so BRUTAL to hear. Listening to the interview atm, and I feel embarrassed for both of them. Maybe this needed to be time delayed and after listening to the interview just scrapped it. So Brutal.

In my experience of participating in interviews, I've found it takes 2 to produce a clunker! I'll take 50% responsibility 4 this clunker.

Cowherd could be the biggest doosh pickle of all time. Anyone who likes him is a terrible human being.

I heard the interview and thought both weren't great, but the night before, Harbaugh threw out the first pitch at the Tigers-Pirates game, a 14-inning loss for Detroit, and there's a decent chance he didn't get home until 1 am or later. Word is that he's not a great interview, which is fine, but he wants to focus on his coaching, I'm guessing.

College coaching is about recruiting. Cowherd was giving him a chance to sell his program and Harbaugh didn't come across well. The guy needs to lighten up. He should talk to Bo Pelini.

That could be but Harbaugh came across as someone so tightly wound you could put a lump of coal up his rear and he'd crap out a diamond.
I'll bet Harbaugh hasn't liked Cowherd for a long time. I'm sure Harbaugh's intentions weren't good going in, which is a bad move. Herd is still the worst person on the planet, though.

I agree about Harbaugh....what did he hope to accomplish then? Further proof he is an #### too?

I'm pretty sure that a high school recruit is going to listen more to both his current and possible future coach than he'd listen to a radio show host who, by most accounts, is unpopular.

I was with Colin up until he hung up on him. You're a professional interviewer. Work around it. The guy wants to bury himself, let him do the work. Hanging up on him just makes you look foolish.

I don't get the Cowherd hate here...guy was trying to do an interview and Harbaugh was giving one word answers.

That sort of interview is bad for Cowherd's business and certainly doesn't help Harbaugh's image.

He had a chance to sell himself and what he wants to do at Michigan. His ego wouldn't let him just like he wore out his welcome in SF. There is no reason he couldn't relax. He knew what to expect.

Neither came off well there. Harbaugh seemed like he didn't want to talk, and Cowherd cutting the interview off that abruptly and just hanging up on him was very unprofessional.

Harbaugh was wasting his time and being borderline condescending...I hang up on people like that too.

How many high school football players do you think are listening to Colin Cowherd?

Harbaugh was taking the questions too literally. You're on the show to show some personality, get your taking pints out etc... Not telling us literally what was in your yellow pad the first day at MI.

100% harbaugh was the problem here. Also, why are radio guys so fidgety? Everytime I see one of these radio guys they're in perpetual motion

Colin's a horrible interviewer (among other things). He just reads a list of questions and responds with "yeah". What a dummy.
