Cameron Wake, MIA DE (1 Viewer)

Papa John's

Footballguy
What is going on with him? I know he has a hammy, but he is still active and playing (73% week 1).

After week 1 & 2 he has not posted a single assist, tackle or sack. At 33 years old, I fear the end may be upon him.

I do recall having Jared Allen off to very slow starts, and Robert Quinn last year pretty much non-existent the entire first half of the year. I'd wait a little longer to hit the panic button (I have him as well)

Wake played less than 30% of the snaps and 4 guys (Wake, Vernon, Fede, Shelby) all rotated a ton at DE. Fede and Shelby played over 50%. Until Wake returns to some semblance of health, Suh generates some pressure up the middle, and Miami actually has a lead, you can't really expect much. I'm holding Vernon and Wake where I own them and trying to trade for them where I don't.

Exact snap totals on DL

Suh 82%

Mitchell 78%

Vernon 63%

Shelby 58%

Fede 55%

Mosley 21%

Wake 21%

Phillips 19%

Wake is obviously injured at this point and it is affecting his play. If you can hold him do so and wait for him to return to health. Unfortunately his injury is a big problem based on his skill set of explosion off the ball. He may not be up to speed for some time.

I have Wake in a Dynasty League team. The other DL's are Rob Ninkovich, Ezekiel Ansah (injured) and Owamagbe Odighizuwa. In my league, I have to start 2 DL's.

DL's on the WW: Chris Clemons, Mario Addison, Philip Hunt, Tyrone Crawford, Damon Harrison, Brandon Williams, Malcom Brown, DaQuan Jones, Jordan Phillips, Angelo Blackson.

Is it time do push the panic button? Should I hold him and wait?

I would wait until after this bye. Hopefully he heels up in these next couple weeks. If he still posts a goose egg after that, I think we can safely say he is done.

John, I'm sure you can still sucker some fool to give you a top 10 pick for Wake.....
Always busting my chops ... No matter where we find each other.

More importantly, I am a bit worried about Wake. I think week 6 will tell us all whether he was just injured or if he is done. Stay tuned.

I really hate this guy. I started him all those early games with goose eggs, and then drop him and he does this?!

Video has surfaced of him still trying to get to Brady on one leg after tearing his achilles. Damn!

Torn Achilles at age 33-34? *pours out a 40 for CW*

He's probably a cut for me this week. Seriously question if a guy his age can make a meaningful comeback(in football terms) from popping that.

It was fun while it lasted Cam. :(

Same. Had him in my Keeper with medium sized benches. I'm cutting him to make room. Wishful thinking - but it should would have been fun to see what he did the rest of the year if healthy.

Dynasty League, 40 players in the roster (17 starters, 23 on bench). I will place Le'Veon Bell on IR. Do you think Cameron Wake is droppable or has any value in Dynasty league?

I'm holding. I could see MIA cutting him in a cap saving move and his catching on somewhere else where he can make an impact. Wouldn't be the first time with a talented vet DE

I know Suggs popped his achilles a few years ago but I think he was younger when the injury happened than Wake is.

Speaking from experience, it is a very difficult injury to come back from. You lose all your explosion (and I didn't have a lot to start with.....hahahhaah).

I think this is going to be a problem for Wake and his speed rush. I think he is safe to drop.
