A kid that wrestled with my son was stabbed by another kid my son was friends with in grade school/middle school. Looks to be a drug deal gone bad. Was life flighted to the local trauma hospital and had to undergo surgery to stop internal bleeding. We are friends with his parents and went to the hospital to see him today after surgery. Man oh man did it tear me up to see this young man in such bad shape.
We are talking 20-21 year old guys. My son was gravitating towards kids he shouldn't have been until wrestling became such a big part of his life in high school. Felt like I could have been looking at my own son if he had made different choices.
The lack of respect for life just amazes me. These kids want to live the thug life and don't realize that there is no future in that.
Not really much of a point to the post but to vent a bit. This really ####ed myself and my wife up this weekend. :(
