Is Robert Quinn a must-hold? (1 Viewer)

Guy seems to be nicked up constantly. I start 3 DL and also have Watt, Chandler, and Hardy. Bench is pretty short and I don't need to manage bye weeks anymore, so I'm thinking of cutting him loose as I need to activate Romo from IR this week and would like to keep my RB depth for the stretch run.

Is it crazy to drop Quinn?

Depends on your scoring. Is it dynasty? If so, then yes, since Hardy is a single mistake away from a lengthy suspension. He also seems to quickly wear out his welcome everywhere.

It's not dynasty, but we get 2 defensive keepers, and his keeper value is pretty nice (round 12 in a 30-round draft).

I'll comb through my roster again. I should probably keep him.

Thanks for weighing in!

You've got four top-10 d-linemen there. Any chance, rather than cutting one, you can swing a trade? I'd look to deal whichever one gets me the most return value, and roll with the other three confidently.

This analysis does not account for differences in keeper value...would need more details to weigh that.

Thanks, Arodin.

This Friday is the trade deadline, and I will look into some potential trades, but I don't expect owners to be willing to give up much for IDP. Watt would be the exception, I think, but I really don't think I'd be willing to move him without landing something special in return.

As for keeper costs:

Watt will be round 5

Quinn round 12

Hardy round 15

Jones DNQ

I think Hardy is the guy I'd most want to move, assuming Quinn gets healthy. The problem I'm finding with IDP is that the injury news is more vague and there seem to be more late inactives than with offensive guys. In any case, Hardy costs my round 15 pick, which means I would not keep him (league rules dictate that we only get one keeper from rounds 16-30 of the draft, so Hardy is competing with Todd Gurley, Martavis Bryant, and Andy Dalton for that keeper spot).

This is year one of this league, and none of us has played IDP until now, so owners don't really have a feel for trade values of IDP guys. Also, it's a small league (8 teams), so the free agent pool actually has good players available, which tends to discourage trades. And I feel strong at every position. Perhaps least so at QB, where I feel average for this league (starting Romo and Dalton). Starting to think my best move is to stay put, but I will see what I can get for Hardy.

Thanks again!
