Week 12 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Jarvis Landry having the "are you concussed?" talk with a trainer on the sidelines. He walked off the field OK, but who knows if he'll be back in today.

He's fine. Having a big day.

Jimmy Graham torn patellar tendon

Jimmy Graham tore his right patellar tendon in the Seahawks' Week 12 win over the Steelers and is done for the season.
Luke Willson will serve as Seattle's starting tight end the rest of the way. Patellar tendon tears are arguably the worst injury a football player can suffer; it's the same injury that has debilitated Victor Cruz. We did a study on patellar tendon tears this offseason when evaluating Cruz, and very few -- if any -- NFL players have returned at the same level of effectiveness. It's going to be hard for Graham to return as a healthy, productive player in 2016. Graham turned 29 this month.

Roethlisberger out. Possible concussion.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Ben Roethlisberger's concussion symptoms "subsided quickly" and "he feels better."
Roethlisberger self-reported the symptoms to the team in the fourth quarter and was diagnosed with a concussion in the locker room. Concussion recoveries are tricky to predict, but it sounds like Roethlisberger has a good chance to be ready for next week against the Colts. Landry Jones will start if Roethlisberger cannot play.

Gronk rolling around in pain.

Edit to add: maybe a knee. Getting the cart.

Immediately declared "out" by the Pats. Going for X-rays. Reported he could put no weight on the right leg. Looked to be in a lot of pain.

ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini reports Rob Gronkowski's knee injury is "not as bad as it looked."
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Gronk's injury "doesn't appear to be serious." Gronk rolled on the ground in pain immediately after the injury, but he was seen walking with only a mild limp in the locker room. We'd still consider Gronk a long shot for Week 13, but he may not be facing an extended absence. The likely hope is that Gronkowski suffered a hyperextension of his knee.

This is a bad bad year for injuries. Too many great players gone.
Absolutely. Takes the fun out of watching the game as well out of fantasy IMO. Yeah, it's great if you can hit on the next WW pickup, but for me it gets annoying after a while too.

Rotowire reports Ryan Mathews now has a hamstring injury to go along with his concussion. How did he pull a hamstring while not practicing for a month? And is this a concussion, or brain damage?
