Browns or Panthers probably.

Vikings were pretty meh too. I'd put them in over the Eagles in the poll.

Chargers?

Allen - missed 8 games

Stevie J - missed 6 games

Floyd - missed 1 game

Inman - missed 2 games

Herndon - on practice squad for 8 games, activated for Allen

Wow. That is a really tough choice to make. So many terrible groups of WRs but I had to go with the Browns. I think the Packers could have been on that list without Nelson. Cobb isn't that great of a WR1.

I really wanted to pick the Ravens who had to run out a really terrible group for 9 games. But 7 games of SSS puts them above an entire season of the trash that was in Cleveland.

You should go see a doctor, I think you're having a stroke.
Cobb was not that great. Tell me who their other amazing WRs were. Jones did well but was already dropped by them and another team before he came back again. So WR1 and WR2 are Cobb and Jones who would not be considered all that great. The rest were terrible, even Adams.

:placeholder to laugh at anyone bringing Seattle into this discussion:
Do you think Seattle's WRs group looked all that appealing going into this season?
I thought they easily looked better than 4 of the 6 mentioned, but this isn't about what we thought, this is about the talent levels and what we now know.
Well if we go by what they did this season then the Panthers don't look as bad because they over performed. Other than Travis Benjamin the Browns WRs were complete trash and had trash throwing the ball to them.

We're basing off of talent, not stats... We all watched these guys play and have a sense of their abilities, we're polling which was the least talented group.

That's about how I saw it. From the time Smith got hurt to EOS I'd have said Ravens but based on totality of the season got to go with Cleveland.

Just put together a spreadsheet with just WR numbers. The lowest yards total is Stl with 1526. The lowest Yards per catch is New England with 11.33. The lowest TD total is Minnesota. The lowest receptions is Stl with 123. Ranking eah category 32 to 1, the worst WR corps is St Louis with only a 16 (best possible is 128 worst possible is 4).

Yea it's Tennessee probably by a wide margin.

Kendall Wright played 10 games (ribs, knee) but was clearly less than 100% a significant time he did play

Harry Douglas is 31 and was never productive to begin with

DGB didn't play for the first half of the season and is still super raw

Damaris Johnson I know nothing about

Tre Mcbride didn't play

Andrew Turzilli didn't play

If you're attempting to argue that Cobb's talent level belongs anywhere in the list of worst receivers, you're batty.

It has got to be the Browns or Carolina in my eyes. I agree with an earlier poster, the Eagles shouldn't be on this list, it should have been the Rams.

Nice charting. What was the Patriots total?ETA: Carolina a bit higher than I would expect, though solidly in the middle. This pretty much jibes with the all 22 and PFF rankings.

Philadelphia Eagles receiving yardage:

1 J Matthews 997

3 B Celek 398

4 D Sproles 388

9 M Austin 224

They were bad. Cooper is already on the street.

While interesting, if your methodology puts the San Fran passing game in the top 10, it's probably flawed.
The way I read it SF was 25th out of 32.

:bag: that makes more sense.

 you made me do a double take. It's a nice, clean methodology. I like it.

I think this speaks more to the complete collapse of the offense then the receiving talent. The Oline and running game never got going and Bradford was bad for whole stretches of the season. I actually like Matthews and Agholor as bounceback players this year. Huff is probably a bust though.

I didn't say they weren't bad. I think St. Louis was worse.

Agreed there. I'd put the Eagles in the bottom 5-7 though.

If you're only talking wide receivers, I'd say Cleveland. If you add in tight ends, the Panthers aren't even on this list. They have a top three receiving tight end.

Rams and Brown were the two worst.

Ravens after Steve Smith went down were close to as bad, even though Aiken was solid.

Same for the Chargers after Keenan Allen went down.

Might as well include OL since the protection is a huge factor here too. Punt returner important as well to determine field position.
