  1. FYI it's being reported that Griffen will rejoin the team this week on Wednesday (10/24). No indication yet if he'll play this weekend.
  2. Ivory did get more carries against IND, almost double. Any concern that Ivory really is the back and Yeldon just got some lucky runs against a poor DF?
  3. He was back in the game after he was hurt. After watching him drop balls today, not sure - I think Murray slides in as the replacement for Cook, while McKinnon's usage is similar to now but more snaps - like 60-40 split with the 2 of them instead of 75-20-5 like it was with Cook/McKinnon/Murray
  4. Finished a new computer upgrade, basically a new build. Got a new case, cause the old one didn't have any kind of cable management. Was able to reuse my CPU Cooler, PSU and hard drives. Replaced most everything else. Here's the PC Parts Picker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jkxNsJ CPU - Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor = $279 CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler = Owned/Reuse Motherboard - Asus Z170-AR ATX LGA1151 Motherboard = $95 (was $145 before rebate -$25, bundle w/CPU -30) Memory - Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory = $89 Storage - OCZ 960GB 2.5" Solid State Drive = Owned/Reuse Video Card - Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8GB NITRO+ OC Video Card = $207 (listed $270 - employee matched open box price with a new card) Case - Antec P100 ATX Mid Tower Case = $79 Power Supply - PC Power & Cooling 750W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply = Owned/Reuse Bought separately SATA card for eSata - $35 Overall cost out the door at MicroCenter was just over $800 with tax. I can add more RAM later (was going to go with 32 but saved about $100 there). Have 6 other HDs not listed, I really wanted to add a 3 or 4 GB HD and replace the smaller ones, but will do that later as an upgrade. The video card deal surprised the crap outta me - one employee started to bring out an open box version for my to look at, the previous employee I had worked with saw him, said put it in the back room until he can help me, when he went to get it, it was no where to be found. So he marked a brand new card at the open-box price - not bad for waiting 10m for him looking for it. My last PC build from the Motherboard up was 2009, so I was definitely due. It had been upgraded a few times, and it held up pretty well for it's age (i7 920 @ 2.67Ghz). I had it OCed to 3Ghz for a while, but put it back to stock speeds after I started having some instability a year ago or so. New computer and case is much better sound-wise, I can barely hear it. Only 5 fans (2 case, 2GPU, 1PSU), and the CPU gets clocked down and fans barely spin when not gaming.
  5. Just built a new computer (6700k, RX 480 8GB OC) and I must say, Battlefield 1 and Battlefront (it was on sale recently) both look pretty nice on Ultra. Been a while since I've been able to crank the graphics up, it's pretty nice.
  6. Anyone play ARMA III - thinking of picked it up on the Steam sale for something new to hold me over till BF1. Also picking up Shadows of Mordor, heard good things about that game, but single player games often sit for a while (or I lose interest) so I tend to wait till they are really cheap.
  7. I am hoping for a football mode as well. Maybe 2 goal areas, a FG that is "easy" worth 3pts and a TD area that is harder to hit that is worth 7. I'd even be ok with 6 + an uncontested extra point try.
  8. That isn't the case. You are supposed to realize the Saviors are such a large organized group that they not only know where Alexandria is, they are watching it closely enough to know when people leave. They aren't going to storm Alexandria, and lose people at the walls. They want to catch them when the group is vulnerable.
  9. Anyone who could support Trump after supporting Sanders weren't supporting Sanders for his views. They were supporting him because he was anti-establishment and the lesser of the 2 evils between him and Trump. I understand the thinking, but you absolutely have to listen to what Trump is saying. Trump voice: "He is so scary. And the country is going to be soo much worse if they elect him. He is soo untrained, and doesn't know how to do the job. Soo much losing will occur, and we'll make soo many enemies with countries" It's a scary thought, and yet...I can't help thinking Trump is less scary than Cruz or Rubio after hearing them both tout God over and over in their speeches. Sorry guys, it's a secular office, God doesn't care.
  10. Haha...oops. Good call. I'm a couple issues behind, but probably not that much. I usually save up and read a few at a time.
  11. I know it's pretty much all out there now as far as the big thing in this arc, but I agree (and am a comics reader myself). Things from the comics that haven't happened should be in spoiler tags.
  12. I don't think Negan was actually at the compound they attacked. As for who bites it, my money is still on Glenn, and that the hard turn that was mentioned was them attacking Negan first rather than waiting until Glenn is killed (in the comics). My second thought is Maggie, to recreate the prison scene where Lori + baby died. Lastly would be Carol, who I didn't think would be in the mix until she was shown to be captured along with Maggie at the end yesterday. But I think Glenn sacrifices himself to save Maggie though.
  13. They said they seen groups as large as 20 people. It wasn't implied that was the total number.
  14. Not really the case. At least, according to Kirkman. He basically says the bite causes infection or blood loss that kills you:
  15. It's all well and good to hate politicians, it's also often not a bad idea to vote for someone outside the system to let them know we hate what they do. Trump is an exception to that, because he is not a quality person and we don't know what kind of havoc he would create in the White House. He has zero experience that would ever even begin to make someone believe he is capable of that job. And no, running Trump enterprises doesn't count. A business is not like a country. Not the same stakes at all. My point is, the stakes are really, really high here. You always seem reasonable MOP...think about whether what you are advocating is by any stretch of the imagination a good idea. Hint: it isn't.
  16. Yah, "wants to commit" is probably over the top, probably better to say "has advocated". I think it is a significant possibility Trump is our next President. And as much as I wouldn't vote for him, I think we could do far worse. Cruz, for instance. I'm not even a huge Rubio fan, although I think he may be the last viable "establishment" candidate left. Both Rubio and Cruz bible-thump way too much for me, although Rubio kind of strikes me as the kind that is doing it because he thinks he has to, and that he wouldn't let it influence his day to day in the White House. But for Trump, I think my last point, that we don't know what he'll do once in office, is why I feel ok if he does get elected. I think he'll be much more moderate than during the campaign. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see him swing way back toward center if he locks up the nomination. I actually feel like I'll be in a tough spot this election, if Bernie loses the nomination (still holding faith that he can weather the Super Tuesday storm). Because I don't like Hillary at all either. But I don't think anyone on the GOP side represents my views, even Kasick is way too socially conservative.
  17. There are things about Trump I don't care about. But I care that he flat out lies about things, and then doesn't seem to even care when it is uncovered (or even doubles down on the lie). I care that Trump wants to commit has advocated for committing war crimes (torture, killing innocents). I care that Trump thinks America isn't great right now, while we are objectively still one of the preeminent countries in the world. I care that Trump changes positions. I care that Trump is derogatory toward women, the disabled and others. And I care that I don't really know what he'll do once in office.
  18. I know what the comics say, but I think it may be a bit different. Comic spoilers:
  19. Yah, he's young enough I think 2024 is probably the absolute earliest he'd consider it. But having seen him on the media from time to time, he seems like he has a good head, and there really isn't much doubt he has the face for politics.
  20. I don't know if they qualify as Bernie-lite, but I don't think we've seen the last of Martin O'Malley. In California, Gavin Newsom is running for Governor in 2018, and I wouldn't be surprised if his sights are on the Presidency in 2024 or so if things line up properly.
  21. This isn't about "mainstream" media. It's about how the media overreacts - in both directions. Although given that Hillary has been the presumptive winner, they don't currently tend to overreact in Bernie's directions when he wins a state. For now. But back on point, no...this isn't about the "media" holding anyone down. It's just how the 24-hour news cycle works. They will analyze to death what the SC loss means for Bernie, and if he doesn't do very good during Super Tuesday they'll be circling like sharks in the water. Couple of wins after that and it'll be a "race" again (according to the media). But I fully expect Bernie's camp to continue fighting right up to the convention, as long as he has a shot.
  22. No, Bernie needs to weather the storm through 3/15 or so. If he can do that, he should go on a winning streak through to the convention. It was always going to be close all the way. Bernie needs to get that message out though. If he lets the media drive the narrative, they'll bury him after Tuesday most likely.
  23. Not that they did that great of job of it...I think they're already past the "origins" portion
  24. Not really defending AMC with the following, but I believe it has come out that there were negotiation issues with Mad Men at the time, leading to AMC to cut the budgets for TWD and Breaking Bad. Darabont had some issues with one of the episodes, didn't like the budget cuts, and got on the wrong side of management and got let go. Just saying, there is more to the story than just numbers. I really don't think we really disagree that much though, except in this - this show is not Breaking Bad (which you have to admit also had it share of horrible writing at times and things done purely to drive the plot). It is fundamentally a different type of show though.
  25. That was years ago. That ship has sailed. Unfortunately, shows are judged by the number of viewers, not their (subjective) quality. I personally am still good with the direction the show is going in, it's still following the basic outlines of the comics, and I still enjoy it. Would I have enjoyed Darabont's version more? We'll never know, and if they don't worry about ratings a little, we never get the chance to find out.
