  1. After watching what's happening to MLB and basketball can I change my vote from 30% to 0%?
  2. I voted 30%. I don't think it should be even that high, but I think the league will try to get the season in even if it means no fans. My guess is there will be teams that are hard hit and the league will have to either pause or cancel the season. It sucks, but these players and coaches lives are more important plus they have family to think about. It's becoming quite obvious the problem is only getting worse and many people are being to lax.
  3. How long has the Shark Pool been here anyway? I've been around since it was just a link in a magazine to get added info (cheatsheets.com). Back in those days it was all about getting a magazine several months before the season started and having to deal with outdated info. Then one year there was a magazine which had a way to get updated info online. Mind blown! Cheatsheets.com was just updated projections and it grew from there. Forever changed fantasy football was!
  4. "If the 2020 season is canceled (and your 30-day refund period has passed), we will offer you a credit towards a 2021 subscription based on the following criteria: Zero regular seaso n games are played: 100% credit Only 1-3 weeks of the regular season are played: 75% credit Only 4-6 weeks of the regular season are played: 50% credit Only 7-9 weeks of the regular season are played: 25% credit Ten or more weeks of the regular season are played: no credit
  5. Not sure how things were where you live, but in my city during the stay at home order the parks were crowded, half the people weren't wearing masks because they say it was a hoax and churches were defying orders and having services. Those that attended church were infected and spread the virus throughout the community. I think if there was a nationwide effort to start we wouldn't be in the predicament we're in now. As far as Fauci's statements, they're new and I haven't seen a response by the NFL. I've even seen betting sites that have the NFL season being played at 50-50 odds.
  6. I think they will have to expand rosters to cover for the inevitable quarantine that teams will have to deal with.
  7. So now you're suggesting the league intentionally infecting players? I'm sure they'd all be onboard for that...not. I think you're underestimating the risk. You state "the covid risk to nfl players is missing games...not having debilitating symptoms." You can't possibly say there's no risk, yet here you are saying there's no risk. There is absolutely risk and suggesting they intentionally give it to the players so you can watch football is a terrible position to take.
  8. The coaches for the most part are elderly. Those who are diabetic or have heart conditons have around a 10% mortality rate. The league will be careful, but its not a stretch to imagine the season getting canceled. The next couple months seem like forever in this day and age and things could be more clear as the season approaches.
  9. Well that didn't take long. Players testing positive during preseason or training camp does have an impact on the season because they will have to quarantine and they will not be able to practice and any players that they came into contact with will also have to quarantine along with coaches etc. It's not only about whether or not the player who tested positive has adverse complications, but also the danger of spreading it to other players and coaches, many who may have pre-existing conditions and be more susceptible of becoming deathly ill.
  10. Huge implications. They will have to do massive testing of players, coaches, refs etc every game, every practice. When someone tests positive (and they will) then that person and those who they came in contact with will have to go in quarantine. During the season this could very quickly halt games from being played. Hopefully this thread stays on topic. Let's talk about the implications to the NFL season.
  11. Maybe they can test all players and personnel before every practice and game. Even still, what happens when one tests positive? Quarantine all the players they came in contact with? During the season it will happen and then what?
  12. Anyone have more news on the Ruggs injury? I know he was seen using crutches which seemed odd for a cut/laceration. Hopefully it's just nothing too bad.
  13. I think CB Terrell is a possibility at #19 as well
  14. Except for the bonehead plays and all the losing and not passing the eye test. I never said anything about drafting "some wet dream of a Mahomes clone" to replace him. Did you even read my post? I said we have too many holes to go draft a QB early. We can win with Carr if we have a great defense, great receivers and a great running game. Carr needs all that to make up for his average play. Every year it's a different excuse. This year we'll draft a couple receivers and come next year's draft the blame will be placed on someone besides Carr again. It will be "the young receivers need a couple of years before we can truly analyze Carr".
  15. You bring up 2016 Carr. 2016 Carr is pre-injury Carr. I would argue he's changed as a QB since then. He has happy feet and doesn't see open receivers. I don't consider myself mindless or a member of any mob. I just know what I see. I see a QB in Carr who has 4th down at the end of a game needing to "score now or lose" and take the ball and throw it away. Game over. And then he does it again in another game. You speak about disCarrding Carr without getting a "full analysis". How many losing seasons with bonehead plays like the two I mentioned before you've seen enough. Oh and before you label me as part of some mindless mob like you did the other poster, I do agree we have too many holes to use a first round pick on a QB. Maybe if Tua somehow falls, but if that happens I'd rather see if someone will give us a trade so we can have more picks.
  16. Yeah, but the Raiders have too many holes to fill to trade away picks to move up
  17. The Las Vegas Raiders have the next two picks: #80 Jacob Eason, QB, Washington #81 Damon Arnette CB, Ohio State
  18. After Fulton and Jefferson went I tried trading down. No takers so it was between Murray and Xavier McKinney at safety. I could have gone either way.
  19. With pick 1.19 the Raiders pick Kenneth Murray Oklahoma Since Fulton and Jefferson are gone at CB I picked Murray. Swift linebacker with sideline-to-sideline range as a run-and-chase linebacker.
