  1. I like this alias better than Cliff Clavin, just sayin.

  2. How's Canada this time of year?

  3. Maybe, but that's not the crowd Apple spent the last 8 years wowing. I'm the normal Apple iPod guy - I love my 80 gig iPod and have spent years building my library. 16 and 32 gig iPads just aren't going to cut it if I can't even fit my music library on there. What are the ton of options to store media on my iPad? Do me a favor. Go and find a hi capacity Sansa or Creative media player. Then go to the Apple site, and you will see a 160 gig iPod that doesn't play FLAC files, but can play lossless with conversion, like the Apple has the proprietary H.264 format to Window's WMV. If all you have are mp3 files, then Apple has the device for you. If you have a box fast enough to convert to .mp4 for video, then the same 160 gb Classic iPod can play them. LOL, everybody is beyotching about Apple and storage, when they have the only handheld media player that has the most capacity in the iPod classic, even after Creative gave up on high capacity with the old Zen. Edit: Archos has the most capacity, but you have to pay for Codec support. You're better off buying an Dell netbook to do the same thing as the Archos. I'm not but find it when people buy Apple products then complain about lack of HD. Do they not read the specs? Here's what I'm talking about, I guess people have never used Wifi before they got their Ipad since Wifi can go in and out at times. iPad users complain about Wi-Fi Sorry early adopters, some iPad users are reporting their devices can't connect or stay connected to the Internet. Why don't companies catch big glitches like these? Stacey Vanek-Smith reports. http://marketplace.publicradio.org/display...-wifi-problems/ I read online about some users who complained about buying the lower HD Ipad since their music alone almost gobbled up all the available HD and wish it had more and didn't want to pay for the more expensive Ipad. Apple's target market isn't that bright.
  4. Um... you can do that already.
  5. You're pretty much stuck following a line until you hit chapter 11 (or around 11). After that you get plenty of freedom.Yup.I beat the main storyline a few days ago. You get a skill cap increase and you can save and then roam around and finish all the side quests. Some of the side quest bosses are tougher to beat than the final boss. I've been running around finishing up quests trying to complete them all. I did enjoy the game but it was far from as good as FFVII. Too linear. I'm thinking of picking up the Dragon Age expansion....anyone try that yet? Final boss was very easy... I was actually disappointed. Beat him the first try. Didn't have to screw around with accessories, paradigms or the battle team.Going back to try and finish up the missions now and those guys are damn tougher than the final boss. Heck, even the big ### brontosaurus looking dudes are harder than the final boss. *** SPOILER ALERT! Click this link to display the potential spoiler text in this box. ***");document.close();

  8. You have no idea if I'll eventually buy one. I have many Apple products in my house so jump off you high horse. I've asked several legit questions and pointed out how I would use USB and how they might fix not having USB using wireless synch. I was excited when the rumors started and was hoping for a scaled down Macbook crammed in. Sure I'm disappointed and have been critical of the device.I've also asked legit questions around the other thread. Here they are again.1. How does it perform in direct sunlight?2. How good is battery life if it's cranked to full if your in direct sunlight?3. Will there be a faster way to synch the device other than wireless?4. How do you print?5. Will/does the device support raw photos?6. Does it have a way to import digital video to edit and play such as USB, firewire, etc?7. Is the keyboard usable?8. Will I have to take my MacBook with me to synch my iPod's? Since it has no USB port?9. How much are we talking by the time you by all the apps and accesories to make it do the majority of things?10. Will it support cached TV shows from Hulu, etc for watching outside of a wi-fi connection?11. Does it have an FM tuner like the smaller iPods?12. Can I load my on e-books bought from other sources on the iPad?13. Can I get books from my local library?14. Will it support google books?15. Does it support a wider range of codecs than the iTouch such as Flac, OGG, etc?16. Same as 15 for video17. How do I get my bought DVD's such as the sopranos on the device? How long will it take?I'm sure there's a lot more.
  9. Same problem as on an iPhone...The iPad runs the same OS as the phone right?Of course. It is the exact same device just bigger.
  10. Same problem as on an iPhone...Well I found my first real complaint. The detractors must be happy.So the whole no multi-tasking, no usb, no video out, and no flash doesn't bother you, but not being able to scroll on forums does? Wow.
  11. Same problem as on an iPhone...
  12. Big difference between anti-apple and anti-ipad.
  13. It really is a perfect entertainment device.I've never used a touchpad device and it's just natural to use.I really doubt any of the detractors have used one. If people get it out of their head that it's not supposed to be a workstation they will realize how well it does what it's supposed to...entertain.Another question about it being the perfect entertainment device. Does it still only support limited codecs for video and audio?And I'll just add my question onto here. If it is the perfect entertainment device, how well does it connect to your TV? Does it support HD? Blu-ray? What about your stereo? 5.1 sound? What about the entertaining .wmv attachments I get emailed to me? Does it support those? I'd hope that the perfect entertainment device would support these pretty basic things.
  14. Don't you have a laptop that can do the exact same thing?i have had multiple laptops but none of them compare as far as seamlessly integrating all the different forms of entertainment that the ipad does.The transitions from doing one thing to the next is unparalleled. browsing, movies and video, games, magazines, books, etc are all done exceptionally well on this thing and all at the tip of your fingers. I'm not going to be working on it or typing long articles on the touchpad keyboard (the dock keyboard will work fine for that if someone wants to do a lot of typing on it). I, and i assume most others, are using it for entertainment. Did anyone teach you how to use those laptops?If you seriously think any laptop integrates everything so smoothly then i don't know what to say. Also no laptop has the access to the apps that are also integrated so well.i'm actually very computer literate and if you want entertainment your laptop can't even hold a candle to the ipad. At the same time the ipad can't hold a candle to a laptop for work related activities. They both have a purpose. How good does it look when you connect it to your TV?
  15. fair enough, U must have different needs for this device then I do. I'm using it for general Internet and entertainment purposes, and for that it is almost perfect.Don't you have a laptop that can do the exact same thing?i have had multiple laptops but none of them compare as far as seamlessly integrating all the different forms of entertainment that the ipad does.The transitions from doing one thing to the next is unparalleled. browsing, movies and video, games, magazines, books, etc are all done exceptionally well on this thing and all at the tip of your fingers.
