  1. Anyone notice that the new iPad gets quite hot? There's been plenty of press on it recently but IMO it makes it quite uncomfortable to hold for any reasonable amount of time. Seriously considering taking back and buying a (cheaper) iPad 2.
  2. Photosynth is just awesome. Highly recommended.
  3. Hopefully that little Gaagle Company can get their stuff together and actually be successful with their little Android project. Losers. It's been over a year and no competitor in sight. In some ways I wish it was at least somewhat hard for Apple to keep doing what they do.
  4. You have to wait if you want the cooler phone so no point in ordering now.Glad you're not using your awful logic you used with the iPad and wifi/3G. Didn't want another debacle from you.
  5. Agreed -- he probably has good intentions. Seems like he's constantly bringing up false info in these threads, however. Or maybe not and he's somehow gotten his iPod to have USB ports plug in (connected his blackberry directly to it, specifically), knew someone who paid $300 extra to have his iPad be 3G and had his EVO on an n wireless network.
  6. Apple.comSurprisingly, doesn't tell me any more than what I've read here. Thought there might be an in depth analysis somewhere...guess it's not enough changes to warrant something like that?Huh? Much faster processor, 4x screen resolution, another camera (on the front), better camera on the back, LED flash, HD video recording, 25% thinner, more battery life, noise cancellation, outer casing integrated with antenna (likely better reception) and of course there's iOS 4. That's not enough changes? Google around a bit, you'll find plenty of in depth analysis.
  7. Can you expound on this a bit? It would be a 15 minute mod in code to get "n" added to the android platform if the need was there. What you are saying above would be similar to a hater pointing out that EVO is equipped to run on "4G" out of the box but iPhone isn't. It would be a slight mod in both cases to gain that capability. Throw in the prevalence of "n" networks, and I don't see how you are getting here. What am I missing? Commish, you can't just add an 'n' to the software and have the wifi run faster. Your constant attempts at making Apple products seem merely mortal is never shocking yet funny every time.
  8. As soon as Apple puts out its first iPhone video chat commercial people will be running (quicker than normal) to ATT.I imagine the Sprint will start running some EVO ads featuring specific features pretty soon as well, including video chat. Will these ads be as effective as the Palm Pre ads?

  10. Huh? The iPhone 4 is a HUGE leap over the 3Gs, and the 3Gs is now only $99. I guarantee we see a sales spike in Q2 over Q1.I'm interested in customer-net-gains, not in total sales. People with an iPhone that's more then a year old will likely upgrade, which is great for Apple and ATT. What I'm saying (and have been saying) is that the announced items don't seem like enough to compel a greater tidal wave of new ATT/iPhone owners. This could easily be a tipping point for customers. I'd be pretty shocked if the exodus to ATT didn't increase due to this phone.
  11. Again, hard to surprise thanks to Engadget. Make no mistake, video chat will a TON of these. Regular consumers won't know/don't care if a few other phones had it first. This is groundbreaking and drop-dead sexy in a mass consumer product like the iPhone. I can see the ads already...It's true. Apple really hit this one out of the park. Will sell like crazy, again. It looks like they made some nice improvements, but lets not kid ourselves if Apple trotted the same guts as their last model in a slightly slimmer shell it would sell like crazy. There is just an Apple can do no wrong mentality out there right now.I'm not so sure about that. But it's a moot point -- they didn't do anything close to that. The EVO etc are catching up to the iPhone and this was a pretty huge upgrade to keep them securely at the #1 phone spot.
  12. Based on the screen resolution and video camera? Fast, best display on the market, thinnest phone with similar abilities on the market, great battery life, gyro, front facing camera, HD video. More. Watch Stevie again. This thing is pretty magical.Ok, so really only the bolded. Gotcha. Makes sense how it will take the other companies 2 years to catch up. Huh? I'm not saying each one of those is new. I'm saying all of them combined make for a great phone. Throw in OS4 and yes, other companies are far behind. How's battery life on that EVO? Video chat work as well? Can you edit HD video on there?
