  1. What makes you think it is safe? They just murdered a kid there. If they leave it there I see it as a pretty bad decision.I'm assuming they won't just leave the dead kid lying there. Can't they just move the kid to the tracks? Let the next train do the work.
  2. Such as?Digging holes and burying tanks out in the middle of nowhere for one, dirt flying in the tanks when they are pumping the stuff in, just thought it was a dumb, completely unrealistic scenario. I let some things go, but this one bothered me for whatever reason, just silly.Agreed. Why not just bring two tanker trucks? Not like a couple of train engineers would've noticed.
  3. I thought it was great. It not only added to the belief all was lost and there's really nowhere to turn for help but it also raised the moral/ethical question of whether it's better to just off yourself now or keep fighting despite how bleak everything looked. Plus, I'm interested to find out what Jenner told Rick that caused him to look like he'd just walked in on Shane drilling Laurie.Great stuff.
  4. I've had a few friends go tith Invicta, and they seem REALLY cheap.Being a typical FBG my daily wear watch is a Seamaster. But for price I'm a big fan of Tissot. Good cross section of quality and price.
  5. After work I'm going to pick up Ken Follett's latest Fall Of Giants. I've been looking forward to this for some time. I was surprised that it only got 2 out of 5 stars on Amazon. After reading the reviews it looks like all the 1 stars are over pricing. Amazon is selling the Kindle version for more than the hardcover.
  6. We recently sold IT support services to a local municipality and one of the services we offer is web content filtering. Told the chief we can block time-wasting sites such as Facebook and Ebay. He looked at me like I was crazy and said "Are you kidding, we get most of our evidence from Facebook nowadays, these idiot kids post everything on there!".Wifey is appealing a disability denial. She was warned by the lawyer to make sure there isn't anything incriminating on FB. Makes sense. if someone is applying for disability and posts pics of waterskiing...easy evidence against.
  7. Just finished Breathers: A Zombie's Lament To me it was like Chuck Palahniuk wrote a zombie comedy. It was a fun read, though nothing earth shattering. I'd give it a 3/5.
  8. I loved reading this...but did not like the ending AT ALL. That was uber stupid.Just finished it last night. It will be interesting to see how the movie handles the "twist" at the end.
  9. I'm reading the Border Trilogy now. I finished "All The Pretty Horses" and am half way thru "The Crossing" Side note: after finishing "All The Pretty Horses" I watched the movie OnDemand....I can now nominate it for Best Book/Worst Movie combo.
  10. Just finished The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. It was what I expected. Overhyped, but still a pretty good read unless your a book snob looking for a reason to trash a book because it sold bunch of copies. Back to the Border Trilogy. Finished "All the Pretty Horses" before Symbol, and starting The Crossing.
  12. I'd like to see Facebook and an option to add a category to status messages. Something like Big Life Event, Travel, daily update, trivial..etc. That way you could just get big updates from friends, and not...going house. I feel bad ignoring someone in case they have real news.
  13. Just finishing Hidden by Victoria Lustbader. A reading assignment from my wife. Normally her books are Meh...But I've really enjoyed this book. It reminds be of Dangerous fortune by Ken Follett.
  14. We got back in one piece and had a blast. Ended up not breaking the bank either. I just finished up totaling all the receipts and we spent $3418 for 4 of us. Not too bad for 9 days
  15. Did you before?I love climbing up the 14ers here in Colorado, and have always been intrigued by that people that climb the really big mountains. There's always that wonder if I could summit a McKinley. Krackaur's descriptions of the hardships involved with high altitude climbing really makes one think.
