  1. How much are those apps going to cost - any talk on that yet?I asked the same question to an Apple employee at Macworld yesterday. He says some will be free and others will probably cost the same as they are on other handhelds. He also said not to quote him ...so basically there is still no real info. I'd pay a pretty penny for Slingplayer on my iPhone. Me too!
  2. My understanding (I have a son with a peanut allergy) is that the theory is that the immune system basically doesn't have enough to do so it starts reacting where it normally wouldn't. Maybe everything else that goes in to the body is so "clean" that it makes the peanut seem "dirty" in comparison so the immune system decides it better go after it.
  3. When my son was 5, he was just learning to ride a 2-wheeler. One afternoon, he wanted me to go out with him to practice and I said I'd be right out... he started without me. So, he's out there a couple of minutes and gets on the bike but has the helmut on the driveway. I was watching him out the window and saw that he had taken a fall going about 1/2 mile an hour - just toppled over. He comes running in the house. MOM!!! Him: If you fall off your bike and you're not wearing a helmut do you always get brain damage? (I guess that was my explanation for why he needed a helmut). Me: No, not always, why? Him: Well, how do you know if you got brain damage? Me: Well, you won't be able to think very well. Him: Me: You don't have brain damage. Him: How do you know? Me: What's 1 + 1 Him: 2 Me: What's 2+ 2 Him: 4 Me: What's 5 + 5 Him: Ummmm.... 8???? Me: Oh Oh! Him: WAIT! It's OK! I didn't know that one before!
  4. Try the peabutter. I made a batch of cookies, and I also made peabutter cups. The cookies were great. The cups - messy but tasted good. I buy sunbutter but never made cookies from it. I got a sample of peabutter. I'm sorry, but it was truly nasty. Don't know how anyone could stomach it! Sunbutter sounds interestingPeabutter, nnnnnot so much I've got some "sunbutter" for ya.... I don't care for cookies that are baked if you get my drift. Schlzm Oh yeah, I miss those too... the no-bakes cookies made with pb, choc & oatmeal. Thanks alot.
  5. Sunbutter is made from sunflower seeds. It's the closest I've found to the real stuff.
  6. Would that be literally? Not funny.... No I'm not allergic, my son is. We just don't have any pn stuff in the house ever. So, I haven't had a pb cookie in loonnng time.
  7. As long as she didn't give one to my son on purpose...I'd give her extra points Good Afternoon all. Did she dip the fork in sugar to press them down? Give her extra points if she did. I miss pb cookies! Sorry to pile on Swapster, but MrsB, did they have the Hershey's Kiss pressed into the middle? I'm a fool for the chocolate cookies with the peanut butter chips. You guys are killing me.

  10. That's kind of scary considering what time you wrote that. GOOD MORNING MRS. BSR! Schlzm Mornin'!!!! How goes?Schlzm Well, I have to be here at work so I guess things are ok.My daughter did her speech yesterday and all the kids voted so I'm waiting to see if she won. Mrs. B I don't remember if you said what your daughter's speech was about. Was she nervous to give her speech? As a 4th grader, there are only two spots to take. One of them is Recorder, like a secretary sort of thing. I think that's the higher position between the two 4th grade positions. She said she was a little bit nervous and just tried not to look at anyone. BSR helped her write her speech and it was a funny one and all the teachers liked it. She was really funny the night before. She said, "Mom, I've been on the stage for my recitals since I was three so this should be no problem." :sigh: Such an ego. But then she admitted she had been a little nervous that day, plus she had to give the speech twice. One of the 7th grade football players she has a bit of a crush on told her brother that he liked her speech. He's a real good kid so I'm not worried. She was very happy to hear that. Sometimes she is way too much like me and then some. She gave a speech that wasn't even mandatory, and in 4th grade! Very cool. I wish my kids would do that stuff.
  11. own3d aka 'owned'Can't answer ph34r, other than it's the internet geek alternate spelling for 'fear'. :11: is actually a 'short bus'. But, see here for further info. Thanks for the explanation. At least I now know that I am not an internet geek, or at least not one that knows alternate spellings. Except maybe now I do. So maybe now I am. I think you have to actually use it in serious conversation to qualify, not just know what it means. At least, that's what I tell myself.
