Anyone ever purchase a Samsung Q80T? I am going to be finishing the basement over the next month or 2 and am looking for opinions on TVs

The room will be pretty dark w/ minimal sunlight hitting the screen (not sure if that's a big deal anymore), TV will be used mostly for watching sports, movies and video games. The last TV I bought was a Vizio 47" in in 2010, pretty sure whatever TV I get is going to blow my mind. Looking for a 55-65" probably, and budget is between $1000-1800ish.

TVs I have my eye on so far are the Samsung Q80T & Sony X950H.

    TIA

I have been looking at that tv but have been reading about it on rting site.  Interestingly the 90T and 80T are the exact same price 75 inch right now on Best Buy.  I just pulled the trigger on the 90T.

Chicken wings. Hit with lemon pepper on both sides, 375 for 13 minutes, flip, 375 for another 12, then 400 for 5 minutes. Will be as crispy as any deep fryer. Sauce - 4 tables of butter melted, big pour of frank’s, few pours of Worcestershire, salt and garlic powder and some honey. Wisk it up and go to town.

Oh hit them with some cooking spray first. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of baking powder to really get them crispy.

I made these tonight and they were fantastic.   Crunchy/moist and the sauce was really good.  Definitely doing them again.

I just locked my 30 year refi at 2.75% getting lender credit of $5,600 which will go towards paying origination fee of $4,400 and title insurance etc.  I was at 3.68% so almost a no cost loan as no appraisal was needed.

Nice, that sounds like a great deal.

I bought a few items from the first auction and met with husband and wife who are handling the auction.  Nice people, they own a small card store in the middle of Lancaster, these auctions are going to make their year and next few years.   They said the next auction is week of 26th and will have even more autographed cards.

Because they jacked up the price. Hulu is $10 cheaper.

Hulu raised prices 6 months ago and we had the exact same conversation about moving to YouTubeTV.  This will be a constant leapfrog game as things change over the years.  Nothing ever goes down in price.  I think you just have to find the content you like and just stick with it.  Personally I think HuluLive has excellent content.  The addition of FX shows have been a great addition.  I suspect since Disney is involved they have a plan and it is hard to not trust how Disney thinks.

Looking into mesh as well. Does anyone know if these would be compatible with the Verizon FIOS router? I know it doesn't always play well with others.TIA

I have Verizon and an Orbi System.  Formerly use Fios w their router and now just pay for internet with 30+ devices (family of 6).
During quarantine my kids all worked all day and I have worked from home and no issues.

Chad, looking at a home purchase soon. I’m a member of two credit unions that I’ve asked to call me this week for their rates and fees to get a ballpark. Planning to start looking once things open up in PA, highest tier credit rating for a 30-yr conventional with 20% down at the ready.

Any thoughts on PenFed (have a gas CC with them) and Citadel (local CU in south East PA that I have an auto loan with)? PenFed has a 1k lender credit on final loan amount as well as no lender fees promo right now on a 30-year fixed starting at 2.75%.

I stopped into Citadel when I did a car loan with them, the mortgage rates did not seem very competitive.

Do you mean you wouldn’t pay to float it down?

Rate just dropped to 3.125.  Thinking this is close to as good as it gets on a 30 year for the foreseeable future?  Or think we go below 3?

    Where did you get 3.125%.

I took it as a visceral sign of change within Jonah and that he's likely to become a sort of loose cannon in the next season.

I agree, he now has lost two people he was close to back to back between Buddy and Ben.
