  1. I will second "O". Headed out for my annual trip in October. Week 6 of the NFL schedule for football bets!
  2. I'm probably gonna gamble there a bit in July as my conference is there but I'm staying at the Aria. A lot depends on if I can find a $50 double deck table there. A lot of times they are $100 minimums. I prefer the Venetian personally but I'm always pumped to make the trip.I work downtown and we have $5 double tables every night if you want to cheap. Not the same eye candy as on the strip but your $$ will last longer.Where do you work downtown?Main Sreet StationCool. Planning a trip in October and we usually stay downtown. There are always a few double deck tables scattered around but sometimes hard to find a seat. Don't usually go all the way over to MSS, except to eat at the brew pub, so now if we do, I will check it out.

  4. Getting ready to take off for Churchill now. Have no idea what I'm going to do and probably won't be back on until Monday. Good Luck to all!
  5. Great write up Judge. Gonna make some similar plays to what you have above. Inquiring about this horse though, has any Derby winner come from the 20 hole? Might be a good story if he could pull it off. Playing him to show for sure as of right now. Will include in some gimmicks as well. Big Brown won from the 20 hole. As was posted earlier, the posts have more to do with the horses running style rather than just the post itself.
  6. I don't know if you've been to the KentuckyDerby.com site but they have video's of all the works on there as well as track updates and opinions each day. I personally like the way that Orb has been working, and I also like both of the Lukas horses.
  7. Super Ninety Nine and Den's Legacy are now OUT of the KY Derby. I think that Code West will get in.
  8. Couldn't tell you for sure Nipsey as we had box seats with clubhouse access, but there was a lot going on in the infield, including a live band. Track was awesome with the mountains in the background.
  9. Yeah, I am really looking forward to it. Have always wanted to go. I've been getting together for years with a friend of mine for the derby and we just go to a local track and watch the simulcast, but this year we will be there at the 1/16 pole...Can't wait! We've got a $20 futures bet at 50-1, on Will Take Charge to win, but will be playing many to try and catch the exacta, tri and super.
  10. Just secured my tickets to this year's Derby...my first!! I'm super stoked! This on top of just returning from a vacation a couple of weeks ago which included a trip to Santa Anita where we saw the Goldencents win the Santa Anita Derby.

  12. The only time I've been downtown was about 4 years ago and it just seemed dirty and rundown. Oh, and lots of jorts, fannypacks and fat people scooters. What am I missing? A bunch of newish* cool / fun bars tightly packed on Freemont Street East like:Downtown Cocktail Room Insert Coin(s) Don't Tell Mama Here's a map, the fun is on Fremont but on the other side of 4th out from under the Fremont Street Experience. *From Wikipedia: "A three block section of Fremont Street, just east of the Fremont Street Experience, opened on August 24, 2007 as the Fremont East district. The area is intended to increase the draw of downtown Las Vegas by offering a compact entertainment area of bars and clubs." Thanks some of these places look decent. Do you think they are worth spending an entire night away from the Strip? Also, are there are any good, interesting places for dinner in the neighborhood? It doesn't necessarily have to be high-end... but something at least trendy and well-regarded. I don't think that the best part of downtown are these little bars. The best part is the whole experience which could include some of these little bars if that's what you like. There are a number of good places to eat and drink in the casinos. In particular, I like to hang out at "The D". A very lively casino and then new "Long Bar" is cool. For better eats and more upscale atmosphere, The Golden Nugget will be your place. Gambling minimums are much lower than The Strip, and it's super easy to get around downtown because the casinos are so small and close together, add in the live music and other street scenes and it is well worth an entire evening away from The Strip.
  13. Just called this afternoon and got RZ Max and $10 off per month.
