  1. Well I was a supporter of Cousins and when he went on that run of putting up big numbers after week 4-5?, I thought THERE, that's the QB we paid for, but all he is, is an average QB. I don't want an average QB. I expect a QB to be drafted in one of the first three rounds this Spring. Burrow, Herbert and Tua will be out of reach for Vikings. Fromm I do not like, doesn't have an NFL arm, so after them it's a crap shoot. I do like a bit Eason from Washington but I'm not a scout
  2. Well, I've been fairly quiet this past year, but reading most of these posts. Zimmer and Spielman have a lot to do in the off-season. I can see Rhodes and Reiff and Joseph gone. Griffin wants to return but at a home town discount? I don't know. They have some promising prospects behind Hunter and Griffin but can you ever have enough pass rushers? Griffin will draw a big contract if cut so I don't see him returning. Rhodes got fat. He looks too big for me. I'm sure after Vikings let him go he'll drop some weight, get a huge contract and be good again, maybe even great but we have to move on from him. Waynes never made me happy so what they'll do with him and McKenzie who knows. Joseph seems injured and or lost his quickness and wasn't as effective as he was a few years ago. O-line, Reiff and Elfein are brutal. If we can't run/get the lead and offense has to play catch up, Vikings are screwed. I hope we can get a LT type with first pick. I'm glad we are making some coaching changes. I assume Kubiak will take over the offense and Zimmer's son the D, with help from dad. Wish the Vikings were coaching one of the college All-Star games. I always felt that those teams' coaches get a huge advantage which help the draft for the following year.
  3. Love this new twist, wish they keep it for every season or most of the future seasons... but how about this goes down as they merge??? Missy is so full of herself.. wonder why she didn't mention to Jeff that this must be the first time two African-American people got voted out? Krishna is useless which brings me to my next point of has a lawyer ever done well on Survivor? I recall some lawyer made it to the final 3 recently but didn't win. They just do not know when to shut up.
  4. VERY much interested in your league, but the draft time period might be an issue. 09-01 but what time would the draft be, ET??
  5. Surprised no one mentioned how rough looking Kat looks without make-up!! lol Sort of reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry dates a gal who looks great under a light but scary looking under a dim light
  6. Patterson from what I remember was a JC transfer who went to Tennessee wasn't it, and he was there for 1 year. Treadwell had 3 years in college and had impressive numbers. Seems to me Patterson was a specimen of an athlete but was very raw. Treadwell to me lacks confidence and unless Diggs or Thielen are injured and miss a lot of time, he'll never shine here, therefore a change of scenery for him is going to happen to him in 2020
  7. Good points. I read somewhere there's a Tackle who played in Atlanta? last year who is a free agent. We were interested in him before the draft and he's still free and apparently most likely a cheaper equal value move for us to potentially make, but who knows Apparently we have just Bradbury and our long-snapping 7th rounder to sign, which is always nice to see everyone (soon I HOPE) under contract.
  8. So if Vikings have to cut someone, I can only think of three guys who would be on the list...… LT Reiff (eek then who plays that position?), RDE Griffen? and TE Rudolph? I hope a few vets take on some cap relief deal so we can fit everyone in.
  9. Thoughts on the draft, in particular the late rounds, love Watts the big DT who can rush the passer inside and Boyd, who was great value later on. I just wonder about the log-jam of CBs we have now. The old saying is you can't have enough CB's. Seems we are setting ourselves up to move away from Rhodes or Waynes next off-season, if not sooner. I re-watched the NFL combine and didn't much out of the 2 WR's we took. Sad to see we didn't upgrade the 3rd WR position as well as upgrade at the Safety position. I guess/hope we'll be looking for players cut to fulfil those roles. I heard some names of the undrafted street free agents we signed, any good words on any of them?
  10. Not sure why some are disappointed that the Bills didn't go after a WR in the draft. With the money spent on WR's in free agency, in Brown and Beasley, did you actually think another player would be added with those two, Foster and Jones in the mix and McKenzie as the 5th/special teamer in the mix? Too many other holes to address, such as O-line and TE were more important and don't give me that old company line of picking the best athlete crap. It's always been the best available athlete who can contribute right away. Bills will be a run first type of team IMO. If anything I'd question why the large log-jam of RB's in the mix? Was there a market for Yeldon before the draft that the Bills HAD TO sign? I don't get that.
  11. I didn't mind trading down once, maybe 2x, but...……. but I feel we will probably still have like 9 or 10 or 11?? draft picks. I don't see that many of these guys making the final roster though. I like the flexibility of moving up and taking a player they like this late in the draft.... I guess it's safe to say we will draft another place-kicker... I'd love to see us draft Stidham from Auburn but he'll probably go soon today
  12. Looking for a new league where you keep a small limited amount of players per year. I prefer the type of league where if you draft a player in the 10th round, in order to keep him next year, it will cost you two draft spots earlier, or something along that line. Fee can be around $50-$100 a season.
  13. Well if we have to trade a CB then I'd rather trade away Waynes, especially if we don't get a 1st rounder for Rhodes. I like our CB depth so moving one of these starters is fine with me. Even though we supposedly or hopefully upgraded the O-line, I would still like two linemen going in our top 4 picks... Williams from 'bama or Ford from Oklahoma are first round material, then some interior D-line help and a WR to take over the 3rd WR role would be great. I'm assuming we'll draft a PK late in the draft to compete/win the job over Bailey and a big RB for goal-line work would fulfill my Xmas basket list.
  14. Considering the tough start for the Bills going up against some good defenses and a lot of games on the road, I wouldn't start Allen just yet. O-Line needs work so look for a lot of 2-TE sets going forward to help with the blocking. Hopefully McCoy's presense will make a difference
  15. Re: the RB's I hope we only keep Boone as he is more explosive over the Roc and perhaps we can stash Roc in the Practice Squad. Re: Iloka, sure bring in someone who knows Zimmer's system but hopefully not over-pay for him. What I'd like to see moving forward is that we trade away a 6th or 7th round pick in 2019 and get some veteran who isn't worth his current contract but good enough for us. Yes not over-pay for Iloka but over-pay if we must for O-line help. This team will go as far as the O-Line will carry them and we need help. Don't see how we will keep Newman when we cut down. Possibly we can re-sign him after Week 1 where his contract will be pro-rated instead of being guaranteed. I have no idea who we might keep along the D-Line, seems we have great depth there and I hate to see us lose any of them. Love the young new LB'ers in Wilson and Downs so I expect them to make the team. Not crazy about our OTHER TE's after Rudolph so hopefully Rudolph can stay healthy this year.
  16. What bugs me about the way the season winded down, when Dom won the final immunity and he had a BIG choice/move to make, really, the urn was the big choice he had? He should have been given the power of taking one vote away from the jury like it was done in at least one previous season, then he would have won. As for the thoughts of why players like Dom / Wendell and Boston Rob dominated, it's ALL IN THE EDITTING. I hated Boston Rob...
  17. So what would plan B be if not trading for one? You won't draft one of the top 4 QBs..... so what then?
  18. I wonder if the Bills would willing to make an offer for Nick Foles. I would think fair market value would be one of the Bills' first round picks. Foles has one year left on his contract and Eagles will go with their franchise QB so....... why not? He's going to make about $5.5 mill in 2018 season and since the Eagles previously traded Sam Bradford for a 1st rounder, why wouldn't they be interested?
  19. Won't go back and talk about the Eagles game....looking forward to 2018 season. Supposedly we have about $57 million to spend but we have some players to make huge decisions with. QB is the obvious one. I see Keenum going to Giants with Shurmur. I'd like to think we'll sign Teddy and for Bradford, I see him moving on as we won't offer him huge bucks that he is expecting. LOTS of teams are going to change the QB situation with free agency and the draft so it should be interesting for sure for our Vikings. Hate to say it but I see McKinnon leaving and going somewhere where he can start or be the 1B RB for another team, a team like Buffalo or perhaps Giants with Shurmur or Tampa?? I would hope we go after a stud Guard, either free agency or draft. I'd like to see more help on D, with the DL and CBs
  20. Because he's not tall but he does check it down often to Rudolph and the Backs often but those are like the 4-5 yds down the middle type of throws
  21. Not a fan of this open forum type of questions or statements that the jury can fire at the final 3. PLEASE go back to the other format. This change sucks. I thought Chrissy would have and should have won easily, especially with her closing statement speech. I can see her back in some new All-Star version again. This final twist should have been something that the final immunity winner should have more control over, as in eliminate one of the jury votes or don't throw it in. Ben was a goner had it not been for the twist. Missed the reunion show, anything worthy of noting? I believe I read somewhere it's in Fiji, already filmed so this twist will re-appear in March/April when the next season starts and that it's all new players??
  22. I would have to think that Teddy will only be activated if Bradford has to shut it down. A VERY tough decision for Rick and his team
