  1. No - you did not jump into the wayback machine. Our long national nightmare is over. A multiyear State Department probe of emails that were sent to former secretary of state Hillary Clinton’s private computer server concluded there was no systemic or deliberate mishandling of classified information by department employees, according to a report submitted to Congress this month. The report appears to represent a final and anticlimactic chapter in a controversy that overshadowed the 2016 presidential campaign and exposed Clinton to fierce criticism that she later cited as a major factor in her loss to President Trump. In the end, State Department investigators found 38 current or former employees “culpable” of violating security procedures — none involving material that had been marked classified — in a review of roughly 33,000 emails that had been sent to or from the personal computer system Clinton used. Overall, investigators said, “there was no persuasive evidence of systemic, deliberate mishandling of classified information.” The report cited “instances of classified information being inappropriately” transmitted, but noted that the vast majority of those scrutinized “were aware of security policies and did their best to implement them.”
  2. Kind of surprised to see this thread drop to the 2nd page. Big day for Bernie tomorrow. I expect a big turnout for his NY rally and Endorsement from AOC. It now, also includes special guest and also endorsing Bernie - Michael Moore. I am a little surprised the Progressive wing is placing bets now - obviously there must be some underlying resentment towards Warren - but I don't know what that is all about.
  3. Wait, there is more!!! Clinton Communications Director responds to Tulsi: Nick Merrill@NickMerrill· 27m Assad day for your candidacy.
  4. She has certainly stayed under the radar despite both Senate races being available. Personally - I think that would be a disaster of a ticket. Top of the ticket does not inspire anything. Bottom of the ticket is inspiring - but it does not inspire confidence. Biden has lost his fastball (assuming he ever had it) - you want someone who you feel comfortable with stepping in for Biden when it matters. Abrams, by not getting the scrutiny of a national campaign until she would be on the ticket, does not inspire confidence that she is ready to step in at a moment's notice.
  5. There is no other rational response.
  6. Maybe he will, maybe he wont. If he loses Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada before South Carolina - then I think he has a big task on Super Tuesday - and not enough time to raise money, or even spend money he might have left. Biden is in trouble - and its better for everyone if the bubble burst sooner, rather than later.
  7. This would be nothing short of AWESOME! Obama should just announce it and watch GOP heads explode. Then Dems ride the wave with no GOP opposition.
  8. Jon Sopel@BBCJonSopel Wow. #Erdogan tells news conference the letter sent by @realDonaldTrump telling him not to be a ‘tough guy’ wasn’t in line with diplomatic or political customs. He said they wouldn’t forget the lack of respect. “When the time comes necessary steps will be taken” :smh: Trump looking like the headliner at amateur hour.
  9. I say this as an ally - let this stuff go. People will answer what they want to answer. Calling them out is not going to make them suddenly decide to engage in a conversation. I think a better approach is to re-raise the issue, if its important, or simply move on if its not important. But these kind of posts do tend to put people on the defensive, and make them then want to then lash out at you - and the back-and-forth is draining.
  10. Tulsi Strikes Back: Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton . You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a ... ... concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and ... ... powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose. It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly. 1. 2.
  11. I may have missed something here - but hasn't DOJ said they have no idea what Trump is talking about here? As I see this in the best light for Trump - he is asking Ukraine to inject itself into Barr's investigation.
  12. There is no way that Trump does not appoint Ivanka as Heir to the Throne Vice-President in this scenario - leaving a bewildered Pence to be comforted by Mother.
  13. This is awesome! Front page of Kyiv Post "Shady Cast of Characters" The descriptions of the key players are wonderful Maybe this is the Ukrainian Onion....
