  1. I can understand your thought here but I'm holding CJ in case he is designated to return. Another owner would definitely grab him just to hurt my team, I play in an aggressive league. Plus, if the worst was to happen to DJ, I need to ensure I have his handcuff. Yes, Ellington currently is DJ's handcuff but that can quickly change once Arizona determines who is coming off of IR within the next week or so. I'm in second place at 8-3 and making roster moves with an eye towards the playoffs right now.
  2. Malcolm Mitchell is available as a FA in my league (18 teams, 0.5 ppr). Do I drop Marvin Jones for him? Marvin is my WR4 so he is on my bench unless atrocities befall TY, Fitz and Nuk. I'm looking to determine who is the best upside option for the playoffs. My team is listed below. Thanks and WHIR!! QB: Stafford, Kaepernick WR: Hilton, Larry Fitz, DeAndre Hopkins, Marvin Jones RB: D Johnson, L Miller, Dwayne Washington, Burkhead, Blue, Ellington, CJ2K TE: Bennett K: Santos DST: Arizona
  3. ZING! That post has me laughing and crying at the same time...
  4. I just traded for Hopkins (sent T West for Hopkins and A Blue to 'cuff to Miller) and I am concerned about starting him this week. I'm not necessarily concerned about OAK secondary, but I am concerned that Stadium Azteca is a MILE AND A HALF ABOVE SEA LEVEL!?!?!?! For those of you playing at home that is 50% higher elevation than playing in Denver. Skill position players will probably regularly rotate in and out and Brock is going to have even more zip on the ball than usual (which is not a good thing, all he does is throw bullets even on short yardage throws). Anyone have thoughts on playing in Mexico City or in elevation?
  5. Trade question: Trade away Terrance West for Akeem Hunt? Own Lamar Miller and am concerned about not having his handcuff as I look ahead to the playoffs. Could also do West for Blue straight up. 0.5 ppr, 18 team league EDIT: I ended up trading West for NUK and Blue. Hope that was the right move!
  6. 0.5 ppr, flex one: Marvin Jones, NUK Hopkins, Dwayne Washington PS You rock Bloom! I've been a daily podcast listener (and footballguys subscriber) for years.
  7. Flex start needed in 0.5 ppr league with nearly every starter on bye this week: Dwayne Washingon at Minnesota or Deangelo Williams at Baltimore Thanks guys!
  8. I dropped Green for Doyle earlier this week. There are better options out there for the time being. Maybe Green starts to have value once we get closer to the fantasy playoffs but I wouldn't hold him all that time unless you can afford to burn a roster spot for the next 5 weeks.
  9. Meredith seems like he has Hoyer's eye. Big target who runs good routes, what's not to like? The Kaep to Kerley connection does give me pause. I'd want to see it first before I invested in it. If I had to pick one of these guys today, I'd go Meredith. https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/749641-bye-week-te-for-week-9-whir/
  10. I'll be the fly in the ointment. Ware is worth a start given Childress' comments about "sprinkling" Charles in here and there this week. That sounds like a mostly Ware performance with Charles getting a few carries just to get some run in a game. I feel like KC is still treating Charles like he is basically in preseason mode. A few touches here or there and he'll be ready to get closer to 50% of the load next week.
  11. This week, start Rainey and bench Williams and Dixon. Third choice for bench would be Dwayne Washington but he's a longshot at this point.
  12. Thanks guys. Good point @DoseOfDopeness about waiting a while longer. I'm just itching to do something because the rest of my team is relatively stable at this point. I am so used to checking the waiver wire and working on trades that it is hard for me to sit still. In any event, for those interested below is a list of available TEs in my league. It's a large league so the pickings are slim, to say the least. Available TEs (sorted by total fantasy points scored): Jack Doyle CJ Uzomah Austin Hooper Vance McDonald CJ Fiedorowicz Ryan Griffin Marcedes Lewis Garrett Celek Trey Burton Crockett Gillmore Demetrius Harris Larry Donnell Austin Seferian-Jenkins Vernon Davis
  13. Always get the best player in the deal. You definitely get that with this trade. Your depth allows you to make that trade. Go for it. https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/749641-bye-week-te-for-week-9-whir/
  14. I'm in a deep league and looking to pick up a bye week filler TE now for week 9 so that I don't get burned later. Here are the options I'm looking at: Vance McDonald vs. New Orleans or Ladarius Green @ Baltimore Both are gambles, with Green being the most uncertain. Is Green worth stashing now for the potential upside once he's back to form? Or is Vance the better/steadier option I should be looking at since Green will likely just be coming back for his first game in week 9? WHIR
  15. Looks like he plans on practicing next week. Maybe get him a little (very little) game action before the week 8 bye, have him ready for the playoff push (i.e. fantasy playoff time). More likely he is a game day inactive in week 7, debuting in week 9, IMO. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2016/10/12/Steelers-TE-Ladarius-Green-plans-to-return-next-week/stories/201610120196
