  1. The Mallet era had its up and down but I for one will remember it fondly.
  2. ammo for the haters!!! Really odd phrasing from rotoworld, considering this is the source: #browns Pettine not getting his hopes up about josh Gordon returning after 8 games: "I'll believe it when I see it." Very different statement obviously.
  3. At some point you have to consider that Smith Sr. is just getting open more than Smith is... could be as simple as that. To the point of a 15 target difference, not buying that at all. And it's worth pointing out as well Torrey was prevented from a very possible TD by a pass interference. Still not much to do other than park him on the bench and pray.
  4. Is Steve really better though? Looked overwhelmed on all his redzone targets. Andrew Hawkins put up a similar (better) stat line against PITT last week. I know people love the guy and for good reason but I'm not that blown away by his performance other than one big play last week and getting tons of targets. If this is how Kubiak continues to use them though, I guess Torrey's screwed.
  5. Why not? The guy breaks rules constantly and is always in the news and you want to let him back him? Ummm, no; you have to cut the cancer out and throw it away. Guess they better cut Manziel too.
  6. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Broncos K Matt Prater was facing a year-long suspension before his attorney got it reduced to four games.
  7. Is this really true? Football fans don't watch ESPN or see highlights unless they play FF? The NFL would be juuuust fine without a game every Thursday, a week-long draft and a team in London but that doesn't stop them from grasping for every dollar possible. Yes, the league is just fine without him. They were fine in 2011 and they'll be fine in 2014. Of course they are, my point is that the NFL isn't a league that says, "nah, we don't need that" very often. Don't see how you could argue that Gordon catching bombs from Johnny Football isn't good for their product. I'm not sure this helps Gordon get back on the field since they were stupid enough to have these rules in place to begin with, but if they were smart they'd let the man play. Obvious stuff.

  9. Yep, the Browns are going to be much better off without that worthless pot smoker this season! And the NFL's new cash cow golden boy will surely look just as great throwing to Andrew Hawkins and Nate Burleson! There are no winners in this.
  10. I felt pretty bad for Shape-Shifting Boy this episode.
  11. Also... Kubiak - O'Brien (offense) Schiano - Lovie (defense) Shanahan - Gruden (offense) Munchack - Whisenhunt (offense) Frazier - Zimmer (defense) Schwartz - Caldwell is the only switch.
  12. Makes no sense why they don't stick with Henne. Yeah you're not trying to win, but how is the rest of the offensive unit supposed to develop with Gabbert's absolutely putrid play?
  13. The lying is a much bigger concern than the dumb remark (which is not a concern).
