  1. Kind of the same boat. I've been focusing on the NFL much less. But the hysteria around the Wuhan virus, warranted or not, has been interesting to see. I run a keeper league and I've been holding out on a variety of decisions to see how the NFL was going to lean. If we have a draft, people will have the option of participating online just like they do every year. For those who want to get together and have a traditional one, that's not going to be an issue, and we'll do it like we always have. But if everything gets cancelled... so be it. I agree with your sentiments. It would certainly make things easier in some respects.
  2. Nope. I expected even more shocking revelations. Nothing in this report surprised me at all.
  3. I appreciate a lot of what you said. And I see where you're coming from. But the problem is that this isn't BLM's goal.
  4. Very true. Sad how easily people allow themselves to be deluded by the mainstream media.
  5. What a completely ignorant, inaccurate, and inappropriate post.
  6. Appreciate the links, but given the source (Berkeley, not you), I'm inclined to be pretty skeptical of the results.
  7. For many years, Marquette University was nicknamed the Warriors. Then in the mid 90's, the administration changed the name to Golden Eagles citing sensitivity concerns to Native Americans. You can't please everyone...
  8. How? Maybe reserve some land and set it aside just for them? Hmm... could be interesting.
  9. Disagree completely. But this also isn't the place to discuss. This doesn't belong in the Shark Pool.
  10. Not the place to get into this, but yes, '68 has more than a few spots on the list. Dr. King's and Bobby Kennedy's assassinations are obvious choices. However, I also said this is "one of" the worst moments, and I stand by that. The attempted overthrow of our government by communists (avowed communists, by the way) and a possible descent into civil war are pretty significant--not really sure how anyone can deny that. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I think it's somewhat amusing that the vitriol and venom surrounding CK's possible return will end up moot in the end. At least for now. One of the few issues on which I agree with some other posters on the other end of the political chasm is that an NFL season is looking less and less likely this year. We can argue about his ability, the distraction he may or may not cause, the illegitimacy of his beliefs, etc., but in the end it's looking like we're all wasting our time.
  11. Oh, I have. And yes, it does. But to each their own.
  12. Looting, rioting, innocent people being attacked in the streets, monuments being torn down, no respect for law and order...yeah, I'd say that's a bad thing. In fact, I'd say this is one of the worst moments in our country's history. But hey, if a violent communist insurrection and a Marxist coup is your idea of tolerance, that's good to know.
  13. Couldn't disagree with you more. I'd say that intolerance has increased exponentially in the last month and shows no signs of slowing down.
