  1. What I meant by it being similar to NO offense is the personnel. I see thompkins or Dobson playing the Colton big possession WR. Amendola is underneath/slot target similar to lance Moore or welker. They have Gronk who can play all over the field like Jimmy Graham. Boyce probably compares to NO 3WR (Henderson, Morgan, etc.) with a lot more potential. And then they have a stable of backs that have various skill sets. Almost the spread to run mentality as opposed to spread to pass. The reason they ran it so much more is because they were playing with a lead much more than the saints and they go way faster. Notice I said the NO offense on speed. I just think there are similar type player roles in both offenses with the key obviously being Brees and Brady. I could also see them returning to their roots and Playing a little smash mouth football like they did back in the Corey dillon days. I don't know but I can't wait to find out. Regardless I think Vereen is a lock for flex production with RB1 upside.
  2. Lot of Hype! Is he the real deal?
  3. Think NO Saints offense on speed with Vereen playin Sproles role.
  4. Nice edit PatsWillWin. I guess they can try to plug sudfeld and fells (or any of there other JV TE's) in for Gronk and hern and have more talented players on sideline. When Gronk gets back they will have more versatility. Basically the only guy they have now that is versatile enough to create mismatches is Vereen and maybe Leon.
  5. I'm not disputing your original point in terms of it being a possibility, but isn't it also a possibility that the Pats braintrust simply morph the offense into a form that suits the talents of who they have? The use of Gronk and Hernandez was innovative. Why assume the innovators are now going to stick with a static form and try and make pieces fit into it? If I was BB I would go 4WR and Vereen would be my starter until Gronk gets back. The opposing defense has to make a decision on personnel. If the bring in Dime personnel they should be able to run unless thy bring 6 in box then Brady will pick on the weak link in Man coverage (assuming their current receivers can beat the weak link). If they try to stay nickel move Vereen around in and empty set where he can torch LB's
  6. How do you sell high on a rookie who hasn't played a game? well because I drafted him late in the 4th round of a 32 team IDP salary draft. If we drafted today he would probably go in late 1st or early 2nd. I would call that selling while his value is high or inflated... Right?
  7. Anybody selling high on Kenbrell in dynasty? What kind of offers are you seeing?
  8. I took over an orphaned team in a 16 team IDP contract league this year. We have an Restricted Free Agent period that allows you to bid on other teams RFA's. The team I took over had the most money in the league and no notable Free Agents to protect so I started by going after a few names like Jamaal Charles, Derrick Johnson, and Larry Fitzgerald. I soon realized that to get one of those guys I would have to break the bank and one player is not going to help me win in next 3 years. So I decided to use my money to buy picks during a time when owners are looking for more money. I had 1.04 going in and when RFA was over I had 1.03, 1.04, 1.06, 1.07, 1.10, 1.15 and bought low on Greg Jennings. Instead of breaking bank on one or two proven guys I was able to acquire Gio Bernard, Cordarrelle Patterson, Keenan Allen, Markus Wheaton, Arthur Brown, and Zac Stacy. Also acquiring future picks during the current draft can open things up next year. I am entering the 3rd season in a 32 team IDP Contract Rebuild. The first 2 seasons I had upwards of 25 total picks. Going in to this offseason I realized I have a chance to make a run and I had 15 picks so I decided to flip those picks and some of the prospects I had acquired to rebuilding teams to acquire Randall Cobb, Kyle Rudolph, Karlos Dansby, Malcolm Jenkins, Yeremiah Bell, Greg Toler, Lorenzo Alexander, Kamerion Wimbley, and Mike Goodson. My DTS is still stocked full of talent and I have 10 picks next year.
  9. Who would you have taken? I don't know if they tried to or not... But I would have tried to trade down and pick up an extra 2nd.
  10. Who knows? Its hard to trust their picks.
  11. Why would Arizona trade for Carson Palmer if they didn't think they could make a playoff run? Bruce Arians IMO is one of the best OC's in the game. He didn't have this much talent at WR/RB/TE (collectively) in Indy last year. He was quoted as saying this OL is not as bad as people think. I believe a veteran QB can make a average OL a good one by checking to plays and taking advantage of a defense. don't write this team off.
  12. 32 Team IDP Dynasty starts 1TMQB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1WR/TE Flex Traded 1.08, 1.13, Brandon Gibson for Randall Cobb
  13. What is Kaluka Maiava's upside in Oakland? Does he replace Wheeler's snaps? will he play 3 downs?
  14. I have to disagree on this one Jene. J.J. Watt is in a league by himself.
  15. This is an awesome league that is very competitive. I would also be willing to give up the Browns.
