  1. One year rental of Clowney plus a 1st isn't enough for a tanking team to give up one of their cost controlled assets. If Tunsil was on his 2nd contract and his salary cap hit was high then he'd have been been traded already. HOU will either need to add another pick or take on some salary dump players from MIA methinks.
  2. Carson and Freeman for top 12. Henry is the easiest answer as the coming bust, every year some reserve back does well at the end of the season for a handful of games then gets taken way to high the next year. Alex Collins last year, Zac Stacy one year, etc. People always chase that guy and every time he burns you, that's going to be Henry this year.
  3. Are you a busy person who likes Fantasy Football but life gets in the way of managing your team during the season? This league is for you! This league cuts to the chase. You draft and forget about your team until it's time to vote on the payouts (to you of course since you'll win the league by a longshot). This is a DRAFT ONLY league with no Waiver Wire, No Trades, No Weekly Roster Setting. There is literally ZERO TIME COMMITMENT after the draft and during the season. $20 buy-in via LeagueSafe, 100% payout with majority approval of payouts (pot split TBD via league vote). I've already run 3 of these leagues this year (1 snake, 2 auction) with good results. Draft will be a live auction, $200 budget tentatively set for FRI 8/23 @ 10PM ET. Time to complete this league’s auction draft is lower than typical, about 2 hours with draft optimizations (with agreement of league, reduced time to nominate a player and to place final bids from default 30 seconds to 15). This league will likewise use these changes as it generated no complaints from the league and most owners actually preferred it over the ESPN defaults – less time just waiting for the counter to go to zero. All players are active every week so no having to set your roster each week or worry about filling in for byes. Rosters will consist of 18 total players, all active each week for the entire season. Whoever you win in the draft auction is on the team you'll have for the entire season. This is basically a variant of Best Ball, which ESPN does not support natively so this is an attempt to somewhat recreate the Best Ball experience. The main difference between classic Best Ball and this league is that in this league every member of your team contributes every week whereas in true Best Ball only some of the scores from your team count each week (basically whoever was the highest scorer from each position). The regular season is H2H matchups weekly with the Top 6 teams in the league advancing to the Playoffs where you have 3 weeks of H2H matchups (top 2 teams get a 1st round playoff bye). Scoring is straight vanilla ESPN default settings (QB passing TDs = 4 points, fractional scoring, etc.) except for a .5PPR buff. Your final roster MUST contain two and only two QBs and two DSTs. You must START 5 each RBs and WRs, and two TEs. You additionally have 2 Flex spots which can be filled by a player with the position RB, WR, or TE. No kickers because honestly, screw kickers they suck. Thus your all-season/every week roster will be QBx2, RBx5, WRx5, TEx2, DST x2, and Flex x2 (any player in position of RB, WR, or TE). And yes your players will all be active during their Bye week so that's a consideration for building your team and can be an element of strategy for you to consider. There are no IR spots and again no WW so plan your roster accordingly to account for potential injuries. Please do not hesitate to contact me for questions or clarification. Please ensure you are comfortable with the league format before you agree to join the league (and especially before you pay in). Link to league is below, and I'll be happy to send you an invite if you provide your email (post in thread or send me a private message in the forum). Hope to see you all in the league! https://fantasy.espn.com/football/league?leagueId=98838249

  7. One spot left! Be the hero who fills our league!
  8. Hello Josh, Consider our league please? $20 ESPN .5PPR league, 2 QB. LeagueSafe with 100% payout. https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/778440-20-espn-auction-and-forget-5ppr-league-thu-10pm-et/

Yes, this means you won't have a team of all studs and at least one of your positions might be filled with a guy who is a role player or something, so this league advantages those with a good knowledge of the player pool (not just the top 50 or 100 guys) and who is wise about making compromises in building the best possible team. And yes your players will all be active during their Bye week so that's a consideration for building your team and can be an element of strategy for you to consider (should I stack players with the same bye week? try to spread out the byes relatively equally? Etc.) Please do not hesitate to contact me for questions or clarification. Please ensure you are comfortable with the league format before you agree to join the league (and especially before you pay in). I already successfully launched a mirror image of this draft (but in snake draft format) and several of the owners from that league have already joined this league also since they wanted to do this same format in an Auction draft. 10. I think "QB proof" is hyperbole. I think Arodin's assessment from post #2 is right on: "Solid fantasy WR2, but somewhat streaky, a la Watkins or Bryant." I think depending on the league he might be either severely underdrafted or overdrafted in redraft leagues, more likely over He'll likely be a huge value in DFS leagues for the first few weeks, perhaps criminally so.
  11. Taylor would not last 2 years in todays NFL playing like that. LT was a girl scout compared to guys like Andre Waters. If you don't have the rulebook changed due to your conduct then you're not trying.
  12. My thoughts exactly...Cleveland Houston Buffalo Jets Eagles Rams 49ers To me it's between the Browns, Texans, and 49ers. So let's compare on appropriate evaluation categories: (A) Previous history of stupid decision making: 1. CLE (extreme), 2. SF (bad and getting worse), 3. HOU (mediocre) (B) Team Incompetence factor: 1 (tie) CLE and SF, both atrocious but CLE holding steady and SF getting worse by the minute. Distant 3rd: HOU looks like a model franchise in comparison. And finally; © 2016 salary cap money available: 1. SF $53 million, 2. CLE $35.4 million. and HOU $28.7 million. Final result: SF pulls out the overtime win to overpay for RG3, leaving the hapless Browns yet again safe from one bad decision and freeing them to make an even more catastrophically bad decision in reaction. Like signing Matt Flynn and Josh Freeman to compete for the starting job kinda bad.
  13. I'm going to grab Stafford myself. He's doing better since the bye and his playoff schedule looks great, 3 dome games against mediocre to terrible secondaries (weeks 14-16 @STL, @NO, v. SF). Plus he's probably was dropped in most leagues earlier this year so he'll either be an FA or cost very minimal to no FAAB bucks.
  14. Josh Freeman should send PFM a thank you card for making his awful game with the Vikings last year seem like a freaking master class in comparison.
  15. Congrats, he actually wasn't picked up until the guy with WW #6 in my league and I was the only other owner who submitted a claim (I was in the #7 spot). Oddly the guy with the #1 grabbed Langford with it, #2 and 6 took kickers, and #8 took a DEF (Steelers). There was a secondary WW by the same guys who already made a claim on all the #2 and 3 WRs from the Chargers and Ravens also. Not sure if I understand the strategy being used by some of those owners.
  16. WAS and SF should trade RG3 and Kaep to one another for the lulz. Both can't possibly do any worse on their new team than the old.
  17. I discussed my deal for him a few posts ago but no way you'll be able to get him at or below cost anymore so any price check info that's older than 20 minutes might as well be trash. https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?/topic/608301-dion-lewis/?p=18532851
