  1. If my hick sister-in-law from Oklahoma who's been bad-mouthing Obama for years can get behind Sanders, I'd say everyone knows who he is by now.
  2. What I'm saying is that it won't matter how many people support it if the game becomes completely rigged, which IMO is a real possibility. I hope you're right, though. I'll try to have faith.
  3. I know every election seems to be dire and a possible point from which we can't return, but I'm really feeling it this election. If the establishment wins this election, our oligarchy may become complete. It may be too late to do anything about it next election. They may just tie up all the loose ends.
  4. That's good news about Newsom. I remember 10-12 years ago thinking he'd make a good president.
  5. Everyone knows who Bloomberg is pulling for. Bernie is spending more and investing more people everywhere at this point because he knows he has to. He's still down, I'm not denying that. I read just yesterday that he didn't put as much effort in SC as he could have. Sorry I can't remember the source.
  6. Not over yet. He didn't put much of an effort into SC. Bernie's still building steam. Every day I see new support. Gabbard, a vice chair of the DNC, just quit today to support Bernie's campaign. She would know better than just about anyone that he still has a chance. link
  7. Been experimenting with curry soups. Found this online -- it's called Anything You Have Curry Coconut Soup. It's a pretty good base recipe. You just add the meat and veggies you want in it. Made it today and really liked it. Only thing I changed was using yellow curry powder, since I didn't have red paste. I want to get some of the paste for next time, though. 1 tablespoon oil 1 onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, smashed 1 knob of ginger, peeled and grated 1-2 tablespoons red curry paste 1-2 tablespoons turmeric 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons sugar 12 baby yukon potatoes 2 14-ounce cans coconut milk 3 cups vegetable broth anything you have for fresh veggie toppings and meat
  8. I don't think I've been on this board in years, but just wanted you all to know I approve of this thread.
  9. I went to Sauceman's a couple of weeks ago at 4:15pm. I ordered the brisket and it was really dry (old). Said something to the staff, and they said there would be a fresh brisket ready in 15 minutes if I wanted to wait. So of course I did. They brought out a double portion and it was great -- really loved it. Also loved their fried green tomatos. I'm not much of a sauce man, but their Golden Octane was the best sauce I've ever had.
  10. RIP Robin I sadly see you leaving this world softly saying, "What dreams may come, what dreams may come, what dreams may come..." I hope you find peace.
  11. The guy used a lot of drugs in his life to keep the beast away. I may be reading into things, but I have a suspicion that he didn't go out with drugs (but wanted to) because he wanted people to focus on the root cause of depression and not drugs.
  12. Bubble Boy. The wife's favorite, and probably my second, is the one where Jerry puts on thick glasses at the theater.
  13. Haven't been in the FFA in a few weeks, just stopped by to congratulate Rafa. I know he posts here.
