  1. Good call on the emergency exit. It could be that the medical hatch has 3 exits, but that's just presumption. As far as the experiments being in full-swing when the plane crashed, I don't know. Desmond doesn't appear to be an original DHARMA subject. Considering how important the DHARMA initiatve deems their work, it would seem odd for them to completely abandon the other experiments, full-stop, to mess with the Losties. UNLESS, part of the overall experiment is to mess with the newly "attracted" people to the island. Barring my last statement, this leads me to believe that everything went awry and/or stopped before flight 815 crashed. However, this doesn't explain why there was a food drop made to the Swan. IRRC, Desmond was scared to death to leave the hatch, appeared to have been in there for at least a couple years which would seem to indicate that there should have been other food drops, yet the Losties have found no evidence of them.
  2. Was there any way to tell if the logs were recent or old? If the printer was still working, that has to mean somebody was in that hatch fairly recently to change the paper and ink cartridge. I guess it depends on your definition of "recently" I don't think anyone could have been in there since Locke and Boone found the plane and it fell over the entrance. Unless there's another way in. Or somebody is still hiding in there. Well, every hatch so far has had another entrance.....I would guess the same here. Perhaps you remember things I don't.

Or somebody is still hiding in there. The only hatch we've seen with multiple exits is the Swan so far. The smaller one the Tailies were in, either didn't have one, or it was blocked off. We didn't really get to see all the medical hatch, so there could be one there, but the Pearl seemed pretty small. Perhaps Eko and Locke didn't fully explore it, but they seemed to take a pretty good look around the place.

  5. This may end up being the same thing you said, but the Pearl hatch had to be deserted since before Boone died. With the plane on top, and the door latched from the outside, noone was getting out. Unless, there is another exit we didn't see.Boone also died a while before we met Desmond. This means that Desmond was not being monitored, at least from the Pearl hatch. Why is that? Because he wasn't an original DHARMA experimental subject? This is probably obvious, but whatever the catastrophic failure was, really threw a wrench into the DHARMA initiative. Perhaps someone didn't enter the code at 108 minutes which resulted in disaster, and now, as Eko alluded to pushing the button is VERY important afterall.
  6. Im curious as to the significance of this as well... why did he send his map up there? Shouldnt they be able to follow tubes to see where they lead? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The tubes didn't go above-ground. How do you expect them to follow them?
  7. What happened in the first 2 minutes? The first thing I saw was a bloodied AL talking to Eko. What happened before that?
  8. In keeping with this, in the last episode they showed a flat-top range, which is also relatively new in terms of household appliances.
  9. Sawyer. Jack's dad met Sawyer in the bar, and IIRC, prompts him to handle his business in Australia when Sawyer was waffling on this beforehand. This caused Sawyer to get caught and subsequently placed on flight 815 home. Interesting - although on the the journal entries mentions people in the hatch doing laundry. Libby has been in the hatch doing laundry. There were 2 military guys Sayid dealt with. The guy who talked to Sayid and gave him money before letting him go in the desert, isn't Kate's dad. Kate's dad is the guy who originally asked Sayid to help interpret/interrogate the other prisoners.
  10. Thoughts on last night. I didn't notice it, my wife did, but in one of the first scenes when AL is getting out of the cop car, the shot pans out and the numbers on the tops of the cop cars are 4 8 and 15. Could be a coincidence. I don't think Jack's dad's illegitimate child is Claire. Granted, I don't think we've seen where she'd been living after her boyfriend left her, but it appeared she had little family support, which pushed her towards adoption. If she was living with an aunt or her mother that's some sort of a support network. It would also appear that Claire would have seen the psychic right around the time that Jack's dad went to that house. I'm not getting worked up over the preview of Eko falling. It's either a dream sequence or he lands in water or something. The previews have always been misleading in this regard.
  11. This was mentioned quite some time ago. The producers of LOST said that someone would be reading a manuscript on the island and to pay close attention to it.As another poster pointed out, the manuscript from the island is an actual book that's now for sale. The LOST cash-cow grows.
  12. Yeah, that hardly ever happens on the island? Maybe I wasn't clear. From your previous posts, I think you and I may be on the same page, to some degree. Michael shows up where Jack and Kate are waiting to try to make an exchange for Walt and Michael shows up. From the previews, it's obvious that he wants to launch an assault on them because he knows where they are and that they're "barely armed". My guess is, Michael's been allowed to see certain things or he's been caught and drugged or something.
  13. "Hospital Henry" looks more like Isaac of Uluru, to me.I also think, it's far too convenient for Michael to come stumbling out of the jungle right into Jack and Kate's laps as they're at the "line in the sand" clearing. I could have mis-heard, but in the previews I thought Gale said to Ana Lucia - "You're not a killer"
  14. Weird for the people on the island or weird for the viewers of the show?Based on the screen caps of the blast door, it's been established that polar bears were being experimented on, which justifies their presence on the island to the viewers. For the Losties, seeing a polar bear is much more weird that seeing a horse.
  15. Think the producers got some inspiration from real life? Snipped from a Toronto Star article.
