  1. Hey guys, So, I'm playing for 3rd or 4th (apparently, my 150 points this week couldn't stop the freakish 176 points my opponent put forward. Pretty crazy considering the average week is about 100 points in our league). Losing Rodgers and David Johnson this year hurt... Gurley helped a bit... Anyway, I'm trying to decide who to play for my flex position and my defense. Flex options: Keelan Cole Mohammed Sanu Demaryius Thomas Initial thoughts: all projections point towards Thomas but with their QB situation, he's hard to rely on. Sanu should've had a great matchup last week but didn't. Looking the the last 3 weeks, I'm leaving towards Cole but I'm not sure if I'm trying to get too clever and over/under thinking it. Defense options: Rams Steelers Bears Initial thoughts: Bears have the best matchup (browns), Steelers have a good matchup as well but the Rams have looked insanely good lately, particularly last week against Seattle! I'm leaning towards either the Steelers or the Rams. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
  2. Heh, not to confuse you forget but, as another Hill owner, I always roll with him regardless of matchup. He's been pretty consistent all season. Thomas, I'm more hesitant to start than Hill (I have him on my team as well) due to Denver's offensive issues (QB, competition with Sanders, double teamed without Sanders, etc). Cooperhas a high ceiling but honestly has only had one great game and one decent game. Personally, I'd have trouble relying on him enough to start him.
  3. Personally, I like Doyle over Howard as Howard is pretty much big boom or bust. I like the higher floor of Doyle. Honestly, neither of them have great matchups, I gotta think there's a better option this week on the waiver wire but I guess it depends on the specifics of your league.
  4. Hey guys, Well, my team has been battered to hell this year with injuries to Rodgers, Johnson, Carson, Sanders, Coleman, and a few others along the way. After the last 2 weeks, I'm pretty much limping along but trying to make some good trades that keep me in the running but don't get me in trouble in the long run (as I think we're keeping 5 or 6 people at the end of this year). Someone offered me Will Fuller for Sanders and I'm considering the trade. Right now, I already have Thomas and would prefer not to have two Broncos receivers if I don't have to. Fuller has obviously been on fire but I'm not sure it's sustainable (and I know he has a bad matchup this week, not sure about weeks beyond that). Do you think this is a good trade for me or does Sanders hold more value than Fuller? Sanders could (potentially) be keeper worthy, not sure about Fuller. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys! League info: Point System: 1/2 PPR Size: 10 Team League Type: Increasing Keeper/Dynasty League (kept 4 this year, keep 5 or 6 next year) Starters: QB: Tyrod Taylor RB: Ameer Abdullah RB: Dion Lewis WR: Demaryius Thomas WR: Tyreek Hill TE: Jimmy Graham Flex: Devin Funchess Def: Steelers K: Robbie Gould Bench: RB's: Todd Gurley, Matt Breida WR's: Mohamed Sanu, Randall Cobb, Corey Coleman, Emmanuel Sanders Def: Texans IR: Aaron Rodgers, David Johnson
  5. That's awesome, thanks a lot! Out of curiosity, why Watson over Witten?
  6. Understandable. The following are available on the waiver wire: Jason Witten (who is my number 1 request, though I'm 9th on the waiver wire . . . doubt I'll get him) Jesse James (not sure if I should be concerned with him possibly be injured though. Good showing week 1, though might be TD dependent) Evan Engram Gerald Everett Seth DeValve David Njoku Benjamin Watson Zach Miller Virgil Green Realistically, most of those would a suitable replacement at Graham's current output. What do you guys think? Do you like any of these TE's or would you play Graham over any of these? Almost seems like I could pick anybody up at this point.
  7. Hey guys, I have Graham on my team for TE with no backup and have to make the decision to either drop him and picking someone else to replace him, stash him (in case the Seahawks remember he used to be really good until they signed him), or just ride it out. He's supposed to have a really good year but I can't tell if he's just off to a rough start or if there's a deeper issue (not sure what "banged his ankle means, but if they're considering having him out a week, probably a bit worse than he's admitting to). Anyone have any thoughts on Graham? Not sure if any of my team information is important for this question but here it is all the same: League info: Point System: 1/2 PPR Size: 10 Team League Type: Increasing Keeper/Dynasty League (kept 4 this year, keep 5 or 6 next year) Starters: QB: Aaron Rodgers RB: Todd Gurley RB: Terrance West WR: Demaryius Thomas WR: Tyreek Hill TE: Jimmy Graham Flex: Emmanuel Sanders Def: Texans K: Matt Bryant Bench: RB's: Ameer Abdullah, Samje Perine, Chris Carson WR's: Mohamed Sanu, Randall Cobb, Kenny Golladay Bench: 1 spot available (thanks, Coleman!) IR: David Johnson, Corey Coleman
  8. Heh, that's what I get for copying and pasting from a previous post. Yeah, I have Matt Bryant for a kicker so I should be good. Good looking out though! Took your advice and snapped up Carson. Thanks, man!
  9. Hey guys, I setup a bunch of waiver wire picks but all the RBs got picked up and I ended up with some additional WR's. There are still a few RB's on the waiver wire to pickup but I am playing in a partial keeper league and don't have a lot of keeper WR so it definitely wouldn't hurt to get lucky and catch a decent keeper candidate (Demaryius Thomas is already a bit of a stretch in a 4 keeper league). My league info is at the bottom. Some of the RB's on the waiver wire right now are: Chris Thompson Mike Tolbert Marlon Mack Shane Vereen Charcandrick West Malcolm Brown Tommy Bohanon Chris Ivory Chris Carson Jerick McKinnon Andre Ellington Should I consider picking any of these guys up and, if so, who should I drop to make room? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! League info: Point System: 1/2 PPR Size: 10 Team League Type: Increasing Keeper/Dynasty League (kept 4 this year, keep 5 or 6 next year) Below is my current roster: Starters: QB: Aaron Rodgers RB: Todd Gurley RB: Terrance West WR: Demaryius Thomas WR: Tyreek Hill TE: Jimmy Graham Flex: Randall Cobb Def: Texans K: Sebastian Janikowski Bench: RB's: Ameer Abdullah, Samje Perine WR's: Randall Cobb, Mohamed Sanu, Emmanuel Sanders, Kenny Golladay, Nelson Agholor IR: David Johnson
  10. Thanks for the response, I appreciate it!
  11. So, first game and a pretty weak showing from the Texans (who I picked up as a result of draft dominator seeing them as a Tier 1 defense) . . . Baltimore looked great this week but would it be short sighted to dump the Texans at this point? Or should I be looking for a new defense (and if so, are the Ravens likely to be a solid defense based on this single game)? Any thoughts? Thanks, guys!
  12. My 2 cents, Zeke is young and should have several years of solid play in him so even if it brings about a rough start, in a keeper league, I'd definitely hang onto him. If you checkout the dynasty rankings, he's ranked as the #3 keeper in a dynasty league. Ajayi is ranked #25, a considerable step down. Some players are worth taking the time to develop if they have a few years in them and, in his case, it looks like he's all ready to go. Having an RB that is a top running back year to year can make a big difference. I hope this helps!
  13. Thanks for the reply! I checked out your question but, to be honest with you, I'm not sure how much help I'll be as I don't trust my knowledge enough to make a suggestion (and would hate for you to take advice I give and think there's much value to it). I would like to get at least one more opinion, if at all possible so if anyone else could offer an opinion, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
  14. Hey guys! Here's the basic info about my league: Point System: 1/2 PPR Size: 10 Team League Type: Increasing Keeper/Dynasty League (kept 4 this year, keep 5 or 6 next year) Below is my current roster: Starters QB: Aaron Rodgers RB: David Johnson RB: Todd Gurley WR: Demaryius Thomas WR: Tyreek Hill TE: Jimmy Graham Flex: Emmanuel Sanders Def: Texans K: Sebastian Janikowski Bench: RB's: Ameer Abdullah, Terrance West, Samje Perine WR's: Randall Cobb, Corey Coleman, Mohamed Sanu, Josh Doctson I think my biggest issue is not having a great WR1 and I'd like to fix that. Looking at my team, I don't think I need (or should have) Sanders and Thomas and need to diversify my team a bit. I also have the potential issue with Janikowski's contract issues so I might need to lose him. However, Prater is on the waiver wire so I could always pick him up. One person in our league has offered me my choice of Brandon Marshall, Donte Moncrief, Adam Thielen, or Zay Jones for Sanders. He then came back with the offer of Theilan and Dan Bailey (which would improve my kicker situation but it only helps for this year as I'm not going to be keeping a kicker, realistically). With Prater on the waiver wire, I think I have some good options. So, my question is: 1) Do you like any of those WR's for Sanders? Realistically, if I get rid of Sanders, I really need to be getting a WR1 or a keeper level player in return (maybe I'm wrong about that) to actually improve my WR situation. Maybe going for younger players is the way to go but I'm not sure if its worth losing a relatively solid guy for a shot in the dark. 2) Should I potentially get rid of one of my strong RB's (possibly Gurley) for 2 other solid keepers? 3) Should I hang out to Sebastian Janikowski or drop him for Prater? 4) Is there a specific player I should go after in exchange for Sanders? Unfortunately, I can read stats but when it gets to some deep thinking about how to balance this season versus a longer term dynasty approach, I get lost in the details a bit. Any recommendations you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you have any additional information to answer this question. Thanks!
  15. Sorry, I'm late to respond but I wanted to say thanks for all the replies! I appreciate it!
