  1. Just secured DMC in a trade to help my RB situation. Who's considered his backup. Taiwan Jones is on the WW and someone owns Goodson.
  2. No Lollys Stokeworth in that riot. I'm digging the departure from the books, adds a nice bit of characterization to some people I despised in the novels, like Tywin. The dragon theft scene must have to do with the House of the Undying. The Ygritte bump and grind scene never happens in the books.
  3. #### yes.I wasnt sure after your previous comment! I'm off until 2012 and hopefully I can get a good part of it done! That's the best of the bunch IMO. Trudging through book 5 and I think GRRM has introduced way too many characters at such a late game. Hard to keep track of all the plots and sub plots. Major characters go, minor characters become major characters, and some characters disappear only to reappear thousands of pages later. It's maddening sometimes.Still one of the classiest fantasy epics ever written.
  4. Van Alden moved to Cicero Illinois. Capones turf. Bet he goes all Death Wish on those guys.
  5. I can't believe they did that. Yea let's just write off the most intriguing character on the show. Now I have to watch Buscemis wooden acting all next year. At least we still have Richard Harrow.
  6. Do you like other fantasy, or just GoT?The Kingkiller series is awesome. I will say I don't know how he's going to wrap it all up in three books.
  7. No I'm talking logging into the actual website. Keeps rejecting my username and pass. Apparently others are experiencing the same thing.
  8. Anyone having trouble logging in? I've already reset my pass.
  9. Yeah I have a quest to find the stray dog. I talked to some guard while leaving a town. The guard told me to talk to Tao or someone like that. Who was looking for his dog. I don't know the name of the town but I believe it's fairly close to where you begin the game.I had that stray dog. Then he was killed. Life is tough in Skyrim.
  10. Just like the rest of the world i'm reading Song of Fire and Ice, up to Feast for Crows. I don't relish the thought of reading Cersei chapters, such an annoying character. Still love this story though. Best Character plotlines so far: Snow Tyrion Jaime (I like where his character is headed) Brienne (she grew on me)
  11. Perhaps someone in DEA gave Tyrus a head's up Hector was coming in?Some people think Gomez is a mole. I think it's the older Chief guy, he seemed too eager to throw Hank off the Gus trail when he brought them the initial evidence.
  12. Wow what a finale. I'm willing to accept the whole cigarette plot device in an otherwise excellently plotted show, in the long run who cares how they swiped it from Jesse and how Walt got Brock the berries. The payoff as a result of it made for fantastic television. And I do believe Season 4 is the best of the bunch. For me the show could have ended right there on the rooftop with Walt going "I won". And the fact that we have 16 more episodes left is perhaps the best part of all. I suppose the 4 biggest questions left are: -Walt v. Hank -Jesse finding out about Walts dirty secrets i.e. Jane and Brock. -Walters cancer -What's going to happen to the meth business.
  13. Re watched the first two episodes on Netflix. From the very beginning Walter has pushed around and manipulated Jesse. The only reason this whole thing started was because Walt strong armed Jesse into working with him. if I were Jesse, i'd let Gus kill Walt.
  14. I'd like to read Don Quixote, what's a good translation?
  15. He's been in remission. However, I get the feeling with just one more season left it's going to rear it's ugly head again. In fact I think i'm one of the few people who thinks he's still going to die of cancer and not some violent mob death.
  16. Why? I would like to hear more about this too. Deus Ex is one that I'm going to have to put off for a while because of all the other stuff coming out soon, but it's definitely one I'd like to pick up later on. I've seen lots of reviews that complained about the boss fights though.Thank you very much for reminding me of this. I'm a sucker for a deal so I was close to pulling the trigger. Gears and Skyrim are going to monopolize my life for the rest of this year. Because the game encourages stealth play. The majority of XP are awarded for silent takedowns finding hidden paths and pretty much trying to avoid getting bogged down by firefights. So of course you build you build character in that manner. However all the boss fights are heavily combat oriented, and you wind up walking in with a silenced 10mm pistol. They're just out of place and unbalanced and stand out in a seamless experience. You can gain a lot of XP by hacking and you can also spend Praxis points to carry more weapons (my main one right now is a laser sighted . You don't have to do silent takedowns for XP and in fact I rarely do. Even if you are playing the stealth style it doesn't mean you can't keep finding upgrades to your weapons - upgraded handgun and combat rifle are enough for the bosses. I think the complaints about the bosses is simply that the game is hard as hell unless you're playing on easy. You have to admit they're out of place though. I've since used my Praxis points to max out my dermal armor and inventory capacity. And now I always carry one heavy duty gun and frag grandes just for bosses. The rest of the time I use stealth. The point is the game says play how you want the choice is yours yet it leaves you no choice with the bosses and forces you to develop your guy a certain way.
