  1. Thankfully definitely not, as several times in the past, actual longstanding FBG guys from this forum were very interested in basketball leagues. Thanks for taking the time to comment and bump the thread to the top though!
  2. *****LEAGUE OPENING HAS BEEN FILLED***** Hello Footballguys! In fairness, this is a fantasy basketball league searching for a great owner, so I hope you can forgive the post and bear with me. High Above Courtside is a league that is finishing its 10th season and we have an open franchise in the league. It is a head to head, points based league with contracts, salaries and an auction draft. The league has many wrinkles to give an owner a lot of freedom in managing their roster, like Restricted Free Agency and many other details. The franchise that is open made the playoffs in our league last season and has some very good players. Karl-Anthony Towns ($31 salary), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($3), Tobias Harris ($11), Myles Turner ($10), Domantas Sabonis ($5), Terry Rozier ($3), Bradley Beal ($19), DeAndre Ayton ($26), Victor Oladipo ($10) among others. We are looking for an enthusiastic, good spirited and competitive owner who wants to be active in league discussions and in our chat room that gets activity every day. While our league is hosted on Fantrax, we have a Facebook group that serves as the league’s main mode of communication (as opposed to a message board), so it is required that you have an active Facebook account as well as Facebook messenger (which is where our league chat room is located) so that you'll be able to use to check the league's group page often. The league has an off-season guide that I made as a guide for the league history and record keeping. It has the league's constitution and other informative nuggets, like league history and previous years keepers, for instance. Here is the website for that: https://sites.google.com/site/highabovecourtside/ COST: The cost for the league is free. The league is hosted on Fantrax which has served us well. It is a premium Fantrax league, but the cost was covered this past season. PARTICIPATION: With an online league, if 12 owners are just setting their lineups and not chatting and discussing things, the league either dies or is no different from a Yahoo Public league. So, for that reason, our group stresses dedication in terms of not just the bare minimum of setting lineups and transactions, but also participating on our Facebook group page. I look forward to hearing from you, either with a private message or as a response here!
  3. LEAGUE OPENING HAS BEEN FILLED Hello FBG's! High Above Courtside is a league that is finishing its eighth season and we have an open franchise in the league. It is a points based league with contracts and an auction draft. The franchise that you would be taking over has some very good players like Steph Curry ($47 salary), Carmelo Anthony ($17), Derrick Favors ($8), Paul Millsap ($24), Jordan Clarkson ($1), Serge Ibaka ($5) and De'Aaron Fox ($7) among others. We are looking for an enthusiastic, good spirited and competitive owner who wants to be active in league discussions and overall chat. We have a Facebook group that serves as the league’s main mode of communication, so it is required that you have an active Facebook account that you'll be able to use to check the league's group page often. Here is the league's primitive off-season guide that I made as a guide for the league history and record keeping. It has the league's constitution and other informative nuggets, like league history and previous years keepers, for instance. COST: The cost for the league is free. 4. I think a dispersal draft could really change the focus of the league to a positive one, as granted, I'm assuming here, but with two owners either threatening to quit or who have quit, there is likely drama in the league. Not only that, having a firm hand and swift decision of having a dispersal draft kicks these two quitters to the curb and sets a precedent for the future. A dispersal draft sounds like a really fun way to infuse some energy and enjoyment when we could all use some. I also really like the idea of adjusting the two teams's scores to the league average each week only if you can't reset the schedule. Great suggestions!
  5. I do still think Riddick is a buy low right now. Maybe I'm offering too much for him, but ultimately, I do agree with you that he should be easier to obtain if owners are just looking at his box score.
  6. I feel like a savvy owner wouldn't let Henry go after his Week 2 game. I am likely blinded by FBG's preference for Riddick. They see him as an RB2 for the rest of the season and are down on Bernard, listing him as an RB4. The snap counts are hard to ignore, however. The Bengals' offensive struggles have me concerned and the offensive line seems like it is no good. That said, maybe with a new OC it could change? Maybe that's why FBG isn't in love with Bernard?
  7. Nice post. Matt Waldman has keyed on him. I'm very intrigued. The only down part now is that Terrance West looks like he'll be active on Sunday. But Collins could be a lottery ticket. I'm keeping my eye on him.
  8. Forgive me, and I confess this is a self serving reply because I'm in the midst of thinking of sending Chris Carson and Gio Bernard to an owner for Riddick. Wouldn't you think that Riddick *would* come cheap because of his substandard Week 2? p.s. Nice show focusing on Riddick as a zero RB favorite.
  9. Could you share it with the rest of us? I can't be the only one hoping for actual answers to be provided in this forum.
  10. This might be exactly what I'm looking for. I'll definitely check out your site. Thank you for posting it!
  11. Where is the league hosted? Do you have a league constitution/rules page?
  12. In the Deep Dive regarding Porzingis: "there are more consistent options at PF". Who? Nikola Mirotic? Markieff Morris? Meyers Leonard of all people? Maybe I'm off base and the only one a bit confused by that statement.
  13. This is fixed now. Unfortunately, Favors is very high in the IVC (at least for Draft Kings), but he's going to be out "a while" according to Quin Snyder.
  14. Just wanted to say, the Deep Dive with the recent games and trends and matchup percentages are really interesting to read. Terrific job with those.
