Note: Since these rankings will be posted to the site after August 1st, a composite listing of these rankings will be posted on the message board for people that do not subscribe to the site.

Assume these rankings are for a 12 team league that starts 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 PK, and 1 Defense/ST

Scoring System

4 pts = TD pass

6 pts = TD run/catch

1 pt = 20 YD pass

1 pt = 10 YD run/catch

-1 pt = INT

3 pts = FG

1 pt = PAT

1 pt = Sack

2 pts = INT

2 pts = Fumble Rec

2 pts = Safety

0 = 6 pts

2-6 = 4 pts

7-12 = 2 pts

13-18 = 1 pt

The dude that put Duece as the number one pick is nuts. The Saints choke every year. I must be new to this because my rankings don't look like the final standings from last year? Every year things change quite a bit. Everyone knows this, but not everyone has the balls to try to predict what the changes will be. The top 10 never, ever, shakes out like people expect it to. Even my rankings are pretty conservative after the first seven or eight picks.

My apologies if it sounded like I was taking a pot shot at your projections. I was commenting on your honesty, not your rankings themselves.

Well stated. Most people (including myself) are too conservative when it comes to projections (not on individual player's numbers, but rather on the ranking of those players). We are too scared to rank Marshall Faulk out of the Top 5 or have anyone but Ricky/LaDanian as our #1. While my projections don't match east bay's, he definitely has the most creative projections as compared to everyone else's, and IMO, they are not far fetched.

The reason it's dangerous to predict change is because most of the change occurs for unpredictable reasons.In the last 5 years, around 2/3 of the RBs that drop out of the top 10 are because of an injury of some sort, and at least some of the other 1/3 were because of an offensive decline caused by injuries to other players (QB, OL, etc).

So unless you have an injury crystal ball, it's dangerous to predict the same kind of turnover that we know is going to happen.

Specifically regarding your rankings, you aren't being _too_ terribly aggresive (as you said).
