Vain? You just gave away your home town.
Nope, way East...as far East as you can get. High school hair band love. Hey, Kerrang! had it as one of their top glam metal albums of the 80's. Number two, I think. :)

eta* I plumb the depths of certain genres. Not incredibly well-rounded in music or music criticism, but I could sing a note or two about things I know...

Had that album, too. Death Angel's Act III was pretty damn solid, too, IIRC.

Had no idea that collaboration happened.
Tricky's "Blowback" has a lot of duets:

  • "Excess" (track 1) contains backing vocals by Alanis Morissette. Morissette also appeared in another song, "Question", that was never officially released but was leaked through the internet.
  • "Evolution Revolution Love" (track 2) features Ed Kowalczyk of the American rock band Live singing the vocals for the chorus.
  • The music for the song "Diss Never" was originally intended for the unreleased song "Question" which featured only Alanis Morissette on vocals throughout the entire track. Morissette's record label, Maverick Records, wouldn't allow the song to be released, although a limited number of advance copies of the album were released in Canada which contained the song.
  • The backing track for "You Don't Wanna" is sampled from the Eurythmics' legendary electro-pop song "Sweet Dreams".
  • "Girls" features former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante on guitar and current vocalist Anthony Kiedis on backing vocals.
  • "#1 Da Woman" (track 6) features Frusciante and band-mate Flea, respectively on guitar/chorus vocals and bass. It also features Josh Klinghoffer, current Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist on drums. This song contains an interpolation of the title song for the TV series Wonder Woman. It is used by professional wrestler Cheerleader Melissa as her entrance theme.
  • "Something in the Way" (track 10) is a cover of the song originally performed by Nirvana on their album Nevermind.
  • "Five Days" (track 11) contains guest vocals by Cyndi Lauper.
  • "Your Name" is a version of "Under the Bamboo Tree", written by Bob Cole.

Shuffling my PLEX Server this morning...

Seems like somewhat of a statistical oddity that out of the 75,000+ songs, roughly 1% of which are Pink Floyd, they come up 2x in the first 10 tracks

Song – Artist - Album

1.       Backstage Queen – Scorpions – Virgin Killer

2.       Money – Pink Floyd – A Tree Full of Secrets

3.       Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner – Warren Zevon – 1988.01.25 / Hammersmith Odeon / London, UK

4.       Drum Solo – Motley Crue – 1987.10.15 / Tacoma Dome / Tacoma, WA

5.       Ain’t No Way – Aretha Franklin – 30 Greatest Hits

6.       High In The Morning – Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – Mojo

7.       The Love I Never Had – Mary J. Blige – Mary

8.       Half As Much – Ray Charles – Modern Sounds in Country & Western  Music

9.       Gimme Shelter – U2 with Mick Jagger and The Black Eyed Peas – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Show

10.     On The Run – Pink Floyd -1988.02.19 / Tennis Center / Melbourne, Australia
