I have following Def Roster with room and $$ for 4 more players:

(Start 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB and 1 Def Flex)

DL: Julius Peppers CAR

DL Will Smith NOS

LB: Takeo Spikes BUF

LB: Al Wilson DEN

LB: Daryl Smith JAX

LB: Rosevelt Colvin NEP

DB: Nate Clements BUF

DB: Marcus Trufant SEA

Players I am considering worth investing in:

DL:

Osi Umenyiora DE NYG - will rookie Sione Pouha from Utah (pick 3.24) split time?

Andre Carter DE/OLB SF - has his back healed?

James Hall DE DET - it is Detroit after all....

Raheem Brock DE IND - Freeny draws all the attention.... will he produce?

LB:

James Darling ARZ - will he continue to develop? Or will Blackstock replace him?

Lemar Marshall WAS - who is he? Will he put up similiar #'s to Pierce last yr?

Travian Smith OAK - was on pace for Top 12 finish before IR... will he recover?

DB:

Bryan Scott ATL - has he recovered? Same bye week as Trufant

Darren Sharper MIN - new system, will he still produce?

Gary Baxter CLEV - Sean Jones?

Brian Dawkins PHIL - Age catching up?

Appreciate a rank of the FA's! Thanks!

DL-Hall - Best year last year, just wonder if he can keep improvingUmenyiora - should benefit with Strahan, did great without him lat yearBrock - With Freeney on the other side and teams playing comeback he should improveCarter - but he will be available on the WW I would betLB-Marshall - high reward/high riskSmith - I think they go back to a 4-3 which hurts his value, but he is in year two after the serious knee injuryDarling - for everything he did last year it doesn't seem they are satisfied with the LBsDB-Scott - moving to FS this year but still best of this groupSharper - Numbers will likely go down if the LBs in Minny improve at allDawkins - I don't really like the guy to be honestBaxter - Good tackler and could be a safety, with the LBs sucking so horrible he should have a good year and I would take him before Dawkins to be honest.

Umenyiora is a must have. Smith and Marshall are good guys to provide some depth. There is risk involved. As long as you are not depending on them, you should be ok.I like Carter moving to the OLB/DE role. I have no idea if his back will allow him to be a monster or not.DBs end up being a dime a dozen. I usually wait until the season starts to grab a DB or two. There always seem to be a couple of guys that do well that are on the WW.

I would get Osi Umenyiora for sure will put up better #'s than W.Smith, also look at J.Hall steady prodution from him, add B.Scott and Sharper if you can get them, on the LB side go with Marshall over Colvin

Appreciate the feedback! Currently I am high bid on Osi Umenyiora DE NYG and saving my $$ for Marshall & Smith. No, aside from Osi, all are depth or bye week fillers. Thanks!
