I'd like to point out that I intentionally picked Trent Dilfer :X . I've been trying to recover since 10X took C-Pep in the 2nd round. I didn't want to invest 2 picks in the Detroit QBs to ensure I could cover Pep's bye week. I can't believe Carr almost made it to me.

But the thing about Dilfer........do you think someone was going to take him before your next pick.......if not why draft him where you did.

I don't even think Dilfer's going to be that horrible, I kind of like him.....more than Boller. Anyway, I think you could have had him a little later.

Apparently the FFA owners are so scared that they refuse to make any more draft picks.  :banned:

Sorry for the dlays - There's some good pr0n being PM'ed tonight, not to mention some quality Forrest mail  .

:peens:

You guys are to much. It's like every excuse involves porn. Hey, I'm late..........just looking at some porn. Like that makes up for everything.

No big deal, the draft will move on. Hope you enjoyed the porn, pr0n, porno, or nude pictures.

I watched the entire Cowboy game tonight :nerd:

That's not it EBF, they need to go do some research because the magazines they're drafting from only gives out the top 20 at each position.

the imp gave me his 13th round pick...unfortunately, it was Engram who has been picked by tommygunz. I PMed imp to give me anothe pick, but I won't be on the site until Tues 9am PST. I told imp to post his pick here so hopefully, everyone checks this thread before they pick...so as not to draft imp's pick.

Yeah, I shoulda posted my pick...I woke up just after the timer expired and it wouldn't let me make a selection...can I have PK D. Akers for my missed pick please???

Nice picks Tommy and EBG, both Engram and Glenn are receivers I like at this point in the draft.I almost picked Glenn but I watched the Seattle/Dallas game last night. Jerramy Stevens looked great and was targeted often. I think in the 1st quarter he had 4 catches for 40 or 50 yards. At 1.5 per recpetion, that builds up in a hurry for 1st quarter stats.

I know I've only been part of this league for a few rounds now, but this is getting a little embarrassing for the FFA team. Kutta was our man that was quick with his picks... he's probably tied up in some DCAA audit of one of his contracts  .

Get used to it, and it'll be nothing like the final result.

My pick window was from 2 AM to 8 AM. C'mon. Give a brother a break! I gotta sleep sometime. And our DCAA audits were a couple months ago, we we are in the clear for awhile.

My picks are:

Kevin Curtis, WR Rams

Frank Gore, RB 49ers

I am not sure how to make my missed pick, so I am posting them here before I pick.

Maybe we should consider turning off the timer at night?

I really like where Glenn (and Galloway) is going in drafts. Big value there. I almost took Glenn with my last pick but thought he stood a bigger chance of dropping to my next pick than Galloway did.

I was targeting Stevens late in the draft. Just my luck he happens to be on TV and looks good...and reminds somebody to draft him. <_<

I thought the timer would be turned off at night. I have it set that way. But then I noticed this statement from MFL the other day.

"Hint: The draft timer will not be suspended in the live draft chat room. The timer only suspends for long-running, email-type drafts."

WTF does that mean?

Not sure. It sounds like maybe we are doing a live draft with a long time between picks, instead of a "long-running, email-type draft." Is there an option as to what kind of draft you can do when you set things up?

I decided to go with Ryan Moats at 14.02. Westbrook seems to be a fairly fragile RB and Moats has the talent to excel in the event of injury. He may even get 5-10 touches per game even if Westbrook is healthy.

I'm a big Tiki fan and I don't think Jacobs will do much. But, I could plug him in during bye weeks and he might get a couple goal line carries and maybe a touchdown when I need it. I wanted at least five RBs and it's starting to get real thin. He looked like the best option to me.

went into the settings and told it to suspend the timer overnight. it had been set to run non-stop.

I thought you had it set up to suspend overnight originally so I have no idea why it wasn't set that way anymore.

............and we're drafting against the FFA and we expected problems. I wasn't asked last year to be on the Shark Pool team because I was any good. I was asked because they thought I had patience. They just wanted some warm bodies that could put up with this style of drafting...........freaken timing out all the time.........apologies always flying, the common reason pr0n. Whatever, like I said earlier, we're watching. I'm still not convinced this entire debacle isn't somehow premeditated. But then again I don't know how you could plan such a mess.

I don't think either are bad picks, but I don't feel like they were stolen from me. Do we even know that Jacobs would get the job if Tiki went down? Not dropping names, but I think Cloud would factor strongly into the Giants backfield sans Barber. That's why Jacobs wasn't/isn't on my radar.

I'll confess to knowing little to nothing about Moats. I know Buck is hurting, and I remember Mehe was hyped last year or the year before on these boards. Too much is up in the air for me to roll the dice on Moats. If someone knows something I don't about Moats having the inside track on the #2 job, that's a helluva pick.

OK, I realize that I don't know more about fantasy football than 99% of you guys, so I'm obviously not a shark. Heck, I'd probably be lucky to know more than 17%... but I was genuinely surprised that the great Dayne was selected before the 20th round. I guess I better do some more research. :hophead:

In case you missed it, neither were selected as handcuffs. Moats is EBF's 4th RB, and in my humble guppy opinion, Ladell Betts might have been a better pick for him (as a handcuff to Portis). Jacobs is Rad's 5th RB, which I think is a good value flyer for this part of the draft.

forget about the backup job, jacobs is pushing for time as part of a thunder/lightning attack. barber has said he think jacobs is going to help him extend his career.

moats has been described as everything from a "piece of gristle" to a "stick of dynamite". im not saying he looks even close to as good as barry sanders, but he has almost the exact same build and running style - low, tough, great cuts and vision, and good acceleration once he gets to the edge. i see big things in his future, and think he can put up westbrook's numbers if westbrook gets hurt. i dont know if he will get the carries in cbuck's absence - childress has said moats does provide a differnt look than westy, but theres also scuttlebutt that theyre looking at guys like gordon, morris, levens, and hambrick to fill buck's role. either way, moats should at least get a few touches a game to show what he's got and if he continues to flash what he has shown so far, that number will quickly increase.

OK. I'll talk really slowly.

Priest + LJ = Handcuff

Tiki + Jacobs = Handcuff

Edge + Jacobs != Handcuff

Do you get that, or would you like some more examples.

And I thought the SP guys were supposed to be the experts :nerd:
